Did any of you guys see this? Women get's arrested for trying to close down account!!!!

The worst thing these banks fear is a public panic and mass withdraws! Especially when they dont have the money in the bank to cover the withdraws!!

That is why if too many people started pulling their deposits and investments out of the stock market, they would shut it down. Keeping your money hostage!

Talk about a police state!
I went outside for a smoke and there are cruisers parked all along the street, plus a swat van. 12 vehicles total.
They were busting a ramshacle cottage inhabited by a treeworker, his wife and 18 year old son, at 2:30 a.m.

A dog is barking continuously (their dog died last week).
An ambulance pulls up.
Cops are milling around.
I overhear one say "was his arm broken already?" The other one says "no it must have been the dog."
I know these folks are not into anything.
The guy works climbing trees. Every day.
The wife works part time at a gold buying store, not a new startup either, one that has been there for 30 years, and she has worked there for 20 years.
The son puts in 70 hours a week at KFC.
So now, this hand to mouth tree climber has a broken arm.
Looks like a real bad winter coming for that family.
The wife and the kid's hours are about to be cut way back, with the tourist season over.
The cops were pretty jolly about it.
At most they found an 1/8 of an ounce of weed, since these folks never buy more than that. Not even an arrestable offense in this state.
I know there are no hard drugs, the guy has a script for suboxone.

Sounds like a real "win" for the stupid "war on drugs".

If even. I doubt that even press any charges, meanwhile, poverty approaches.

Prohibition is a path to fail, that we have so many people that support it boggles the mind. It's like nobody can read what happened the first time we tried that. I used to play a game, I had a bunch of stories from back in prohibition time and some from "today", and I asked people to tell me which were which when I read them out loud. They couldn't tell the difference, the "right" answer was almost always at or near 50%.

Really crazy. The wife is walking around the yard, but there are still 4 cop cars over there.
I feel like going down to the hospital to see what's up but the cops are probably guarding the guy.

There. Is enough meth, and heroin on the streets to keep all the Prohibitionist employed. It's up to the educated to get the message out.
