The AMA announced today that it supports House Bill 3200, the Democratic healthcare plan. If this was on this board, I didn't see it, but I thought it was important enough to put on the board if it hasn't been up before.
It seems that the mountain has moved to Barack.
My guess is that the AMA execs got the word from the membership after earlier announcements.

the AMA sold out it's soul for money and power...

they should all be kicked out for not holding up the oath they take....

I guess you think you're a comedian now..?
everybody makes typing errors..well except you I guess..

I was not dissing you, I hought it was cute. Of course I make typing errors.
"You must be real fun at parties."

That said, when the AMA came out not long ago against a public plan, they were the darlings of RW, reactionary Conservatives. Short memories are very convenient aren't they? Again, my guess is that the membership spoke out, giving the execs no choice.

well (if) you were only kidding, you'll have to excuse me..

Read page 19, which states: “Individual health insurance coverage that is not grandfathered health insurance coverage under subsection (a) may only be offered on or after the first day of Y1 as an Exchange-participating health benefits plan. ”

The plan does not prohibit individual private coverage.

Anyone can still buy a plan on the Exchange where they will compete with the public option, not be replaced by it. The advantage of the Exchange is that the coverage no longer has one of the problems of individual coverage, i.e. huge premium increases should you become ill.

More and more doctors are coming out fighting this ridiculous bill.
