It was not anything like that. Net Neutrality required routers connected to the internet to be neutral towards data packets. It is the basic rule that makes the internet work. You can have your own private network that runs any way you want, but this is how the internet works. Net Neutrality has nothing to do with whether the data packets contain political discussions, cat pictures, or lots and lots of porn.
Well, now the same Republicans are complaining that websites are not forced to be neutral, and to present both sides of any discussion. They now claim the exact reverse of what they claimed before.
