Allred faces two Bar investigations for misconduct

Gloria Allred is the subject of two bar investigations into allegations of misconduct.

The latest probe, in Washington, D.C., appears to center around her handling of a local television weatherman’s discrimination case.

Kyle Hunter, a local television personality, hired Allred to sue CBS for allegedly discriminating in favor of younger, attractive female meteorologists. She didn’t properly notify Hunter that she was working with CBS to produce a drama inspired by her life — an obvious conflict of interest.

“Gloria Allred severely injured me and my family and refuses accountability. I am very pleased that the Washington D.C. Bar is taking their investigations into Ms. Allred very seriously. I applaud their professionalism and duty to the public’s protection,” Hunter said in a statement.

The D.C. Office of Disciplinary Counsel opened the investigation, and has been gathering evidence since May.

Allred is also facing an investigation by the State Bar of California for legal malpractice.

The Los Angeles Times' Sandy Banks defined Allred’s feminist framework as “rights without responsibilities.”

She represented two of Tiger Woods’s former mistresses, who were seeking compensation from Woods. Allred negotiated ten million dollars for Rachel Uchitel, reportedly just before Uchitel was scheduled to hold a press conference about Woods. Uchitel was forced to give back most of the money after she violated a confidentiality agreement. She then threatened to sue Allred for malpractice.

Allred had also taken on the case of Debrahlee Lorenzana, a woman who claimed that Citibank fired her for being “too hot.” Before her second breast augmentation, Lorenzana had said in an interview that she wanted to look like “tits on a stick.”
