All four of us lost to trans athletes who took away our victories and opportunities

Athletic records matter. As track athletes, our records serve as an official recognition of our accomplishments and years spent training and competing. Athletic records also matter to scouts and college administrators determining scholarships and admittance. And they matter to future employers and job prospects.

Our records of athletic achievement during our high school years competing in track and field should have stayed on our resume and with us for life — opening doors for higher education, leadership, employment, and personal fulfillment.

But sadly, for the four of us, our records were tarnished, our accomplishments reduced and our opportunities diminished.

Beginning in 2017, first one, and then two, biological male athletes began competing in girls’ high school track in Connecticut. In just three years, those two males broke 17 girls’ track meet records, deprived girls of more than 85 opportunities to advance to the next level of competition and took 15 girls’ state track championship titles.

Four of those championship titles were earned by one of us, Chelsea Mitchell. Four times Chelsea was the fastest female in a women’s state championship race, and four times she watched that title, honor and recognition go to a biological male athlete instead. Over the course of her high school career, Chelsea lost to those male athletes more than 20 times.

The other three of us — Selina Soule, Alanna Smith, and Ashley Nicoletti — all likewise have been denied medals, placements or advancement opportunities because of the male athletes competing in our events.....

I hope these four biological females win their case. Biological males should not be competing in Title IX sports.

As long as feminists insist women are equal to men, all sports league should be open to everyone, male or female or transgender.

Truth is adult women are physically equal to 12 year old boys but we're not allowed to say that.

They're actually people here who think this is okay... actually better than okay... and for the most part they're women with daughters and granddaughters... I'd say wait and see what happens when a relative loses out on a scholarship or a space and an event or a record or a metal but I don't think that's going to happen because they're going to get this complete disgrace resolved very soon...

what a progressive message to send to young girls and women

That no matter what you do, men will always be better than you at it. including being a woman.

I believe that exclusion from competitive women's sports is a reasonable burden for the male-to-female transgendered to bear.

I wish that this were the only gripe, however, that conservative bigots had against the transgendered--whose lives are already stressful enough.
Then they start talking about public restrooms, for example.

Ladies rooms don't have urinals--at the ones that I've used in a pinch didn't.
Ladies tend to wiz in individual stalls.
I can't imagine what they're so uptight about.

The women's sports things is kind of a big deal... besides the restrooms what else concerns you? And since you mentioned the restrooms I will just mention that dome schools who have gone to gender fluid restrooms are a complete disaster because when boys don't have access to urinals they tend to just pretend they do... there are already male and female restrooms why not just use them?

I'd think women get pissed when some trans stands there and pisses on the toilet seat.

I don't understand this part; isn't that what I'm saying?

If a male to female transgendered person used the ladies room, what's the big deal?

As for the men's room, most men that I know wouldn't give a flying fat one if full-functioning broads watch them wiz.
Please hold MR. JOHNSON for me while I take this call. You don't think that happens?
I've even seen the late, great Anne Heche do that in a movie.

Well. maybe not in Ohio, I guess.

If it's trans, it's not peeing standing up.

Although frankly, in college, I actually did see girls who could pee standing up--especially with a few drinks in them..

How does a man piss if his "junk" is cut off? Does he still stand, or does he sit down? Maybe just hover over it? Me, I don't know, nor do I want to. It's just sickening to think about.

I hope that I can assume
that you don't
spend a hell of a lot of time thinking about it, Arby.

The point is the restrooms are a now a mess ... girls care guys don't...in Ohio...and everywhere...
(Not familiar with the Anne Heche movie.. what a terrible tragic death that was...:()

Just use the restroom you are born to use... I don't know why that's so much to ask.. unless it's an emergency and then at least be respectful...
