As someone who is married to a Pinay I might have to give him the benefit of the doubt. My lord are they fearless when they are mad. That's why I chuckle when I hear guys talk about how Asian women are so submissive. Not the one I know. LOL

He is not the darling of the Democrats, and has always had very little support among establishment Dems. He was a darling of the pitchfork left. I just liked his speech about the Republican health care plan, I admit it. I liked it. I laughed a lot. I would have voted for him back then if I was in his district. That would have been a mistake. I am not perfect like Republicans and not a republican Republicans. I make mistakes.

Naaa....that's a Filipino thing. They're into goofy names. Ferdinand Marcos son just recently lost his bid to be elected Vice President of the Philippines. He's konwn throughout the country by his nickname Bong Bong Marcos.

I mean wouldn't that be great if an American politician had a nickname like that? Bernie "Bong Bong" Sanders sounds pretty cool.

No of course not. In the U.S. "Lolita" has sexual connotation due to Nabokov's famous eponymous novel. In most of the rest of the world it's just another Woman's name.

Do you believe this? I liked this guy years ago, after his "die fast" speech on the floor of the house. I never personally liked him, I always thought he was a bit over the top, like not the kind of guy you'd want to date you know? But I liked him politically. Just another example of why I'm so much more cautious politically than I used to be.
