A tale of three applicants to Harvard Business School

Walt

Back To Reality
In 1973, Bush entered Harvard Business School. His grades were just OK, but his family had a lot of money. That does make things easier.

Almost a decade earlier, in 1964, Bloomberg entered Harvard Business School. He was from a middle class family, but his grades were outstanding.

In 1968, trump wished he had entered Harvard Business School, or Harvard Law School, or any graduate program. he had a huge amount of money behind him, but had the worst grades possible. How bad were his grades? We may never know, but they had to be bad to not be able to get into any graduate program. I mean it would not have to be Harvard, maybe something easier, but no.

And that is a good representation of a typical Ivy League graduate school class. There are some very rich people, and some very hard working people. But they do have some lower limits to how lazy/stupid you can be, no matter how rich you are.

You think that story is unique to the Ivy’s?

I think if trump was willing to settle for a bad enough school, he could have gotten into a graduate school. First rate was out of his reach, as was second rate, and probably third rate, but there are some fourth or fifth rate schools that will accept anyone.

Mnunchin had the same problem of not being a bright student, but wanting only a reasonably good school. His wife set her sites lower, and got a law degree from "University of West Los Angeles". I do hear she went to the more prestigious "upstairs campus" (:

GW BUSH EARNED A HARVARD MBA with a HIGHER GPA THAN BOTH KERRY and GORE, Jr., WHO HE RAN AGAINST.

BUSH was ALSO AN "OUTSTANDING FIGHTER/INTERCEPTOR PILOT", IN THE NOT SO SAFE F102, ACCORDING TO HIS FLIGHT COMMANDER, and remains the ONLY PRESIDENT TO FLY SUPERSONIC (" Following his six weeks of basic training, Bush began 54 weeks of flight training at Moody Air Force Base, Georgia.[4] In December 1969, Bush began twenty-one weeks of fighter-interceptor training on the F-102 in Houston at the 147th's Combat Crew Training School, soloing in March 1970 and graduating in June 1970. When he graduated, he had fulfilled his two-year active-duty commitment.[1]

In November 1970, Lt. Col. Jerry B. Killian, commander of the 111th Fighter Squadron, recommended that Bush be promoted to first lieutenant, calling him "a dynamic outstanding young officer" who stood out as "a top-notch fighter interceptor pilot." He said that "Lt. Bush's skills far exceed his contemporaries," and that "he is a natural leader whom his contemporaries look to for leadership. Lt. Bush is also a good follower with outstanding disciplinary traits and an impeccable military bearing." Bush was promoted

....NOT EASY, and TAKES BALLS.

BLOOMBERG IS AN AMERICAN "OLIGARCH", BUT EVEN THE DNC, the "PARTY of IDIOTS" ( as IOWA reminds us), isn't STUPID ENOUGH TO BUY HIS BULLSHIT.

HE WILL COME NOWHERE NEAR THE NOMINATION, and then WILL LIKELY LAUNCH A THIRD PARTY RUN, MAKING THE INEVITABLE TRUMP LANDSLIDE EVEN MORE CRUSHING.

BLOOMBERG IS EXPECTED TO TAKE THE LEPRECHAUN VOTE, HOWEVER....

Who cares what school he went to ... he’s a fucking billionaire! Fuck off you douche bags !

trump inherited a lot of money, does that make him a better person than the rest of us?

Bloomberg is about 20 times richer, and inherited nothing. If being a billionaire is a good qualification, then we should all vote Bloomberg.

SORRY ,BUT THE LITTLE TROLL HAS THE CHARISMA OF A STALE DONUT.

EVEN THE DUNCE-O-CRATS, IDIOTS THAT WE ALL KNOW THAT THEY ARE, AREN'T FALLING FOR HIS BULLSHIT....

He inherited a million ... and turned it into a billion ... fuck Bloomberg, he’s a loser .

You are completely wrong about Gore, but Bush and Kerry are very comparable.

We don't know any of their graduate school grades, and they went to very different graduate schools, so it would be hard to compare. We can compare Bush to Kerry undergraduate. They were nearly identical, Bush got a 77%, and Kerry got a 76%. They went to the same school, Yale, graduating within two years of each other. Technically, you are correct that Bush did one point better than Kerry, but there was little difference between the two. Their GPA's were anything but stellar, and so each took some time off before applying for graduate school. Kerry went off and served in Vietnam. Bush avoided war.

Gore graduated from Harvard undergraduate with a cum laude. It is the lowest of the honors, but he is the only one of the three of them that even got close to an honor.

trump got $200 million and over 48 years turned it into a few billion. he could have gotten a better return on his investment had he put the money in an indexed fund. Literally, the market average is several times better than what trump did. If he had trusted someone more competent, he would have also saved all those people who lost money with him their money.

Bloomberg always returned well above market rate for himself and anyone fortunate enough to trust him with their money. Where trump had to steal money from others to even make his paltry return, Bloomberg made money for himself and others. Where trump is known for his lying, Bloomberg is the best in accurate information.

You don't know WTF you are blathering about...AGAIN. DID JUST MAKING UP LIES WORK AT THE LAST FORUM YOU WERE AT??

Bush graduated from BOTH YALE and HARVARD...EARNING AN MBA grad degree...AFTER LEARNING TO FLY A SUPERSONIC FIGHTER/INTERCEPTOR.

GORE, HOWEVER:

Gore’s undergraduate transcript from Harvard is riddled with poor marks, including a C-minus in introductory economics, a D in one science course, and a C-plus in another.

“In his sophomore year at Harvard,” the Post reported, “Gore’s grades were lower than any semester recorded on Bush’s transcript from Yale.”

Gore’s graduate school record — consistently glossed over by the press — is nothing short of shameful. In 1971, Gore enrolled in Vanderbilt Divinity School where, according to Bill Turque, author of “Inventing Al Gore,” he received F’s in five of the eight classes he took over the course of three semesters.

Not surprisingly, Gore did not receive a degree from the divinity school. Nor did Gore graduate from Vanderbilt Law School, where he enrolled for a brief time and received his fair share of C’s. (Bush went on to earn an MBA from Harvard).

And Gore was able to turn that around, and graduate cum laude, while both Bush and Kerry were unable to graduate with any honors.

The arsehole got a D in natural science yet thinks he's some kind of scientific genius.
