Officials have warned that glitches are likely with the system. And midway through the morning, the website wasn’t fully accessible, giving some visitors a “logout confirmation” message rather than the intended system for exploring options and signing up.

After several unsuccessful attempts to create an account on Florida’s federally-run exchange at healthcare.gov, Sauvigné realized he’ll have to wait for the computerized system to be fixed before he can shop for a health plan

How long will Sauvigné have to wait?

That’s anybody’s guess, as widespread technical problems rendered the website useless for the many who tried to shop for health plans.

If anyone in Delaware has enrolled in an Obamacare health insurance plan yet, it’s news to state officials.

On Day 3 of open enrollment, Delaware residents and millions around the nation continued to meet overwhelmed federal computer servers and – when they called the backup toll-free number – were urged to be patient and keep trying.

Want to spend a billion bucks for a half-assed effort using old technology?

Get the Feds to run your project.

This just has to work as well as Solyndra did.

Or maybe it will work like the Volt or Tesla...maybe Obamacare will catch fire and burn down...works for me.

Lots more stories like this....

The Affordable Care Act’s new health insurance exchange websites were supposed to be up and running on Tuesday morning.

But as of Friday afternoon, more than 80% of them still weren’t working.

And because of those glitches, many would-be customers are getting stalled-out webpages and error screens.

What they aren’t getting: Health insurance.

There’s increasing evidence that hardly any American has been able to purchase a plan through healthcare.gov, the trouble-plagued federal website that serves as the nexus for 36 states’ insurance exchanges.

Even Chad Henderson—the “poster boy for Obamacare” who was interviewed by the Wall Street Journal, the Washington Post, and numerous other news outlets after he claimed to have used healthcare.gov to buy coverage—ended up retracting his account, after Reason‘s Peter Suderman dug into his story.

We are all glad that you are so worried about the people that need insurance are getting it.

I have a negative feeling about this so I'm going to blame Obama. He wanted this (R)ight?

what incompetent people we must have in charge of this. And morons like Desh supporting the effort and comparing it to a free market... LOL! If this were a business they would be facing fines for not having the service running.

This was a main task of the government and they have failed and made ridiculous excuses. Obama claimed they had no idea they might get 2 million hits in a day. SAY WHAT? LOL. I seriously laughed out loud when I heard him say that. 330 million people and you didn't think you'd get 2 million hits a day.

anyone defending this is a dumbass.
They better get this shit working right. Excuses don't cut it.

It doesn't matter. You can go to your previous insurance agent, and he/she can help you sign up. If you never had coverage, you can find someone to help you through the process.

I'll be using my agent in the next few weeks to make my decision on new coverages. My outlook is fantastic. Of course, I don't live in a teabag state.

Minnesota insurance broker Jim Koester was looking for information about assisting with Obamacare implementation; instead, what landed in his inbox last month was a document filled with the names, Social Security numbers and other pieces of personal information belonging to his fellow Minnesotans.

In one of the first breaches of the new Obamacare online marketplaces, an employee of the Minnesota marketplace, called MNsure, accidentally emailed Koester a document containing personally identifying information for more than 2,400 insurance agents, the Minnesota Star Tribune reported. MNsure was able to quickly undo the damage because Koester cooperated with them, but the incident left him unnerved.

"The more I thought about it, the more troubled I was," Koester told the newspaper. "What if this had fallen into the wrong hands? It's scary. If this is happening now, how can clients be confident their data is safe?"

Personal information for all of those customers will be routed from a federal datahub to the state-based exchanges, leaving people like Koester, and some health data experts, concerned about the program's security.

As more health-related data is digitized, "the privacy violations are going to be incalculable," Jim Pyles, an expert in health law who co-founded the law firm Powers Pyles Sutter & Verville, told CBSNews.com.

Blame your former governor, and GOP legislators. Mn. had plenty of time to set up exchanges, but Pawlenty blocked Fed. assistance. Dayton's been working on this only since Jan '11, with the state legislature standing in his way.
