A few facts about Puerto Rico.......1. It is a slum, all of it.

2. The damage from the previous hurricanes in the last 20 years was never all repaired, why, because Puerto Rico is a perpetual slum, refer to number 1.

3. When ask if they want to become the 51st State the people of the slum say no we do not want to be a state, possibly because the Island would then be upgraded from perpetual slum, and the people do not want this.

4. The damaged homes from Maria were made from driftwood gathered from the previous hurricanes driftwood debris, this is how slum homes are built.

5. And that's the way it is.......................in a slum
 
Like Haiti where they just rearrange the debris after storms.
They're quite used to it as they get whacked by weather routinely.
