Trump’s Jan 6 phone records have 7-hour gap spanning riot

Records pose challenge for select committee trying to reconstruct chain of events

New reporting has revealed that the White House records from 6 January 2021 obtained by the select committee investigating the Capitol riot show a seven-hour gap in Donald Trump’s phone logs – a period of time that spans the all-important hours before, during and after the incident.

According to CBS News and the Washington Post, White House records turned over to the committee by the National Archives and Records Administration do not include any made or recieved by Mr Trump between the hours of 11:17am and 6:54pm a period which includes the time just before he exhorted supporters gathered at the White House to march to the Capitol, and the hour at which police regained control of the US legislature’s building

If Garland doesn't end-up prosecuting any of these traitors, especially T****, his AG pick was the biggest mistake of Biden's first term

Super Nixon!

But Nixon was pardoned (technically he resigned with a promise of pardon).

Who will pardon Trump?

Not even Nixon tried to overthrow an election result. In 1961 he chaired the joint session of Congress that registered Kennedy's victory.

But Trump is something special.

Three big takeaways from Trump’s missing Jan. 6 phone logs

Calls such as these are among those that should be in the phone logs but aren’t. The Post reports that the committee is investigating whether Trump used burner phones during that period, but whatever we learn on that front, this whole story is made worse by the fact that those key players are refusing to cooperate with the committee.

Here’s why: What’s at issue is how Trump reacted in real time as the violence unfolded. We know he reportedly watched it on TV with relish and refused multiple entreaties to issue a public statement calming the violence.

The case for subpoenaing lawmakers might have just gotten stronger.

The committee is debating whether to subpoena members of Congress such as McCarthy and Rep. Jim Jordan (R-Ohio), who also talked to Trump on Jan. 6. The source close to the committee tells me the missing phone logs might strengthen the case internally for subpoenaing them, because there should be more pressure on those lawmakers to testify about these calls with Trump.

Phone calls go two ways

How many will lie and purge their phone records only to go to prison for Trump?

There were calls made

Rs have admitted that they happened

People overheard the calls on the 6th

Yet the 7ish hour gap in the records

The records were altered

Why?

14:26
President Trump called Senator Mike Lee, according to the Utah Republican who has provided the trial lawyers with a copy of a log from his mobile phone.
According to his office, he received a call from the White House switchboard number - and the call lasted four minutes. Mr Lee has said that apparently the call was meant for Alabama senator Tommy Tuberville, and that he handed his phone to his colleague.
Mr Tuberville told reporters that he informed Mr Trump that Mr Pence had been evacuated from the Senate floor. "I said: Mr President, they've taken the vice-president out. They want me to get off the phone, I gotta go."
House impeachment managers say it is further evidence that the president knew how much danger his vice-president was in.
