Iranian president says Tehran will spend the $6 billion released in prisoner exchange ‘wherever we need it’

Iranian President Ebrahim Raisi said his government will decide how it will spend $6 billion in previously frozen funds due to be released in a prisoner exchange agreement with the U.S., telling NBC News’ Lester Holt that the money will be spent "wherever we need it."

Giving Iran 6 billion and telling them to only spend it on food and medicine is like giving a drunk a $100 and telling him to spend it on food and medicine. The drunk may spend it on food and medicine but he will then spend the other money he has on even more booze. Iran may use the 6 billion for food and medicine but that means they will have more money left for terrorism.
 
Within 2 seconds of hearing this news, every MAGA as frantically thinking of ways they could blame the Biden admin.

All agenda, no facts. That would actually be a good slogan for the Trump campaign.

And they can buy medicine and food with it meaning they don't have to spend money already in the country on those things in equal amount. You don't get it. The $6 billion freed up $6 in internal funds for stuff the Iranians want to do but can't with external money.

yeah we just took it away fifty years ago because there was a revolution hey attacked our embassy and caused damages to American citizens.........who were supposed to get the funds, but the government just sat on it until they gave it back to the new government that overthrew our allies.......because.....wait shouldn't there be a "because" in here somewhere?......
