Yes, it is the point I made. Why now? What changed? I submit that seven or so that went AWOL during Bush's terms --more than "seven or so", but continue on in your fool's paradise-- and were quickly found and picked up are a bit different than four times that amount which about half haven't been found, but that isn't why it got out. They found it enough of a threat to tell people to watch for them. That's why it suddenly came out. I agree with them, we should find these people.
Right... I'll seek out the posts where you said, "Some 40,000 American troops went AWOL and nobody cares!" Post #7. Where does it say "nobody cares"?
You waste our time.
Simple enough. If your time is being "wasted", stop reading and responding, and furthermore, stop trying to speak for everyone else who posts here.
I'm reasonably sure that people can read the thread and see what I am talking about, even if you want to pretend you can't.
I don't have to pretend anything. You've been putting words in my mouth all along in order to justify your POV, and you've flat-out lied about what I've posted.
And my point has been.
1. It also doesn't mean we should ignore it, as you suggest we should.
God, you're such a lying hack it's absolutely incredible. Again, WHERE did I write that we should ignore the AWOLs? Or did you conveniently skip over post #37, where I wrote: "I think that "they" should look for all 40,000 Americans and 46 Afghanis, and charge them with going AWOL."
2. You're "suspicions" are worthless, the government simply told us about it now. It's hard to be "suspicious" about how it came out now.
If this was always important we would have known about it since 2002. Stuff like this gets leaked all the time. It's an issue now because RW hacks are trying to use it against Obama.
3. Right, because we should never consider people from a nation we occupy any sort of threat.
Again, WHERE did I say that? Post the comment number.
4. That's rubbish. I have simply stated: If all they want is to be citizens then we should have a path for that.
No, you stated "Do they want to become Americans, or do they want to become guided missiles? Seriously, if this doesn't make you uncomfortable I can't imagine what would." It's a false dichotomy and even a toady like you should see this.
However ignoring people from the army of a nation we occupy is foolish. I think it is absolute rubbish to start in on "profiling"... Have I ever said we should arrest every Afghan here? No. It's a silly straw man. I suggest we keep tabs on people in the military from ANY nation that we occupy that are in our nation, and we keep close tabs on them.
You've done a fine job of putting words in my mouth but your fabrications are plain to see. Just give up, buttercup, no matter how hard you spin you can't make my words mean something that I didn't write.
