Wouldn't be the first time I thought I was saying one thing and someone else read it differently. But as I reread my posts in this it seems clear to me that I mention disclosure in each post and that they are what's important.
 
What is the problem with unlimited political donations by an individual as long as it is documented? Money is going to find its way into politics. Today we have people giving any amount anonymously to PAC's. is that better?

Take the money from the thieves and there'll be no problem.

Let's say for the moment that I am Senator Dune. You donate 5 million to my campaign. Anti-party donates 5 bucks. Whose side do you think I am going to vote for? Democracy is not supposed to be for sale to the highest bidder. That is the problem.

So, why sellout? Surely you can get donations from someone else next time. Also, consider the office a privilege, rather than coveting re-election about your conscience.

Why don't you ask the other 99 senators? I am pretty sure they get elected just for the money in the first place.
