In findings published in the journal Crime & Delinquency, researchers at several universities studied a representative sample of 7,335 people who reported that they'd been arrested at a young age, said Robert Brame, criminology professor at the University of South Carolina and lead author of the study.


Researchers found that more black and Hispanic men had been arrested as youths than white men.


By the time they reached 18 years old, 30 percent of black and 26 percent of Hispanic males had been arrested.


By the time they reached 23 years old, 49 percent of black males, 44 percent of Hispanic males, and 38 percent of white males had been arrested for something other than a minor traffic violation.

FACT #37: The annual report from the Department of justice shows that when Whites commit violence they do it to Blacks 2.4% of the time. Blacks, on the other hand, choose White victims MORE THAN HALF the time. (3)

FACT #38: In New York City, any White is over 300 TIMES MORE LIKELY to be assaulted by a gang of Blacks than is a Black by a gang of Whites. (32)

FACT #39: Many people argue that high Black incarceration rates show that police center enforcement at Black crimes and ignore white-collar crimes. However, Blacks commit a disproportionate number of white-collar offenses as well. In 1990, Blacks were nearly 3 times as likely to be arrested for forgery, counterfeiting, and embezzlement as Whites. (32) (6)

FACT #40: Many people believe that crime is a product of poverty and lack of “advantages.” However, the District of Columbia, which enjoys the highest average annual salaries and is second only to Alaska in personal income per capita, leads the nation in just about every category of crime including murder, robbery, aggravated assault, and vehicle theft. D.C. also has the country’s strictest gun control, highest police costs per capita, highest ration of police and correctional officers per citizen, and highest rate of incarceration. Its permanent population is over 80% Black. West Virginia, which has the nation’s lowest crime rate, suffers from chronic poverty and has the highest unemployment in the U.S. It also has the fewest police per capita. West Virginia is over 96% White. (33)

As I have stated before blacks, who make up around 13% of the population, perpetrate nearly half of the total murders. Of course the vast majority of those murders will be by black males. I will leave you to do the rest of the maths.

I said this to Poet before who immediately denied it and claimed that they were white men's figures. Then again, he also claimed that AIDS was a disease invented by white scientists to kill off black men.

One can call them anything they like, but they're facts. I'm sure he would deny a long detailed history from FBI statistics, state statistics and local. I don't claim to know the reasons why, but these numbers are quite similar in most areas. Of course there are exceptions, but I'm speaking overall. It's stunning when you see crime statistics that lean so heavily towards any one race, and then find out that race makes up a fairly small percentage of the population.

I don't know the reasons either, well not all of them anyway, but they are what they are. I daresay some are due to the police lying as well as the courts appointing a useless lawyer but the vast disparity cannot be explained away so easily.
 
Guess I'm going to have to research the percentage of black men falsely arrested, convicted and imprisoned and post it.

Because we all agree there's NO racial profiling of black men, huh. </sarcasm>

Some very telling statistics here.

Blacks commit more crimes than whites.

False. Neo-Conservative Whites and self-hating Blacks notwithstanding, the reality of racism in the justice system has to be understood in order to get into the reasons for the high number of Blacks in prison.

In an assessment of the impact of crime on minority communities, the National Minority Advisory Council on Criminal Justice concluded that “America is a classic example of heavy-handed use of state and private power to control minorities and suppress their continuing opposition to the hegemony of white racist ideology.”

Further, according to “The Real War on Crime,” a report by the National Criminal Justice Commission, “African-American arrest rates for drugs during the height of the ‘drug war’ in 1989 were five times higher than arrest rates for whites even though whites and African-Americans were using drugs at the same rate.”

Finally, according to the Federal Judicial Center, the average sentences for African Americans for weapons and drug charges have been 49% longer than for whites who had been convicted of the same crimes.
