13-Year-Old Boy Questioned by Secret Service Over Facebook Posting

A 13-year-old boy in Washington state faced federal interrogation by a Secret Service agent over a Facebook posting that warned President Obama of suicide bombers, q13fox.com reports.

Vito LaPinta of Tacoma, Wash., said he posted a message on Facebook after Usama bin Laden's death, saying Obama should be careful of possible retaliatory acts against him by other terror members, according to the station.

"I was saying how Usama was dead and for Obama to be careful because there could be suicide bombers," the boy told the station.

A week later, the boy said a man walked into Truman Middle School "with a suit and glasses and he said he was part of the Secret Service."

"He told me it was because of a post I made that indicated I was a threat toward the president," he said.

The boy's mother, meanwhile, says she's not happy her son was questioned by Secret Service without her knowledge or consent, the station reports.

unbelievable.....so the SS can just waltz into a school and interrogate 13 year old kids for telling obama to be safe....i'm pretty sure they needed parental consent

He did, he posted about it afterward or I wouldn't confirm it. I had the SS show up at my work with a subpoena requesting certain information. He was quite upset as I remember.

She was standing there, I shook the dudes hand, apologized for being late, he handed me the subpoena, I handed him some stuff, and he thanked me and walked out. She looked at me like I was KING suddenly rather than all suspicious like.

I was laughing inside, but I wasn't going to tell her what it was about.

When I first got the e-mail I was wondering if it was real, but then I checked the IP and the url... Unfortunately the subpoena ordered me not to warn him it was coming so it came as a surprise to him...

Nah, he was too pissed about the SS thing. It wasn't my fault I even warned him that it could happen in the thread when he made the remarks. I think it is likely that somebody here reported him, but I was not privy to that information.

given the "threat" here was from facebook.....it is wholly likely they combed your board just like they did with facebook. nothing we type online or say on a phone is truly safe.
