Stupid kid should go to congress and get the law changed. The Attorney General cannot write laws. It appears the girl wants Sessions to say he won't enforce the present law like obama infamously vowed to ignore immigration laws. That is not how it's supposed to be handled.

nov 11 2017 A 12-year-old girl suffering from epilepsy is suing Attorney General Jeff Sessions in order to legalize marijuana for medicinal purposes on a federal level. A motion by the US government to dismiss her case has been denied.

Alexis Bortell, 12, was joined by four other plaintiffs in her lawsuit, filed in US District Court in the Southern District of New York on July 24, according to court documents. Other defendants named in the case are the Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA), the Acting Director of the DEA Chuck Rosenberg and the US government.

At issue in the case, is a federal prohibition on marijuana that prevents Bortell from returning home to Texas to continue with her treatment.

Despite the fact that 29 states have legalized the practice of administering medical marijuana to patients, cannabis remains a Schedule I narcotic under federal US law.

There is no such thing as medical marijuana. It's recreational and that's OK with me, but i wish the pot advocates would stop lying about it.
 
The only things stupid are the people who think prohibition works. Instead of getting revenue to fund from the sales tax of legal weed, these idiots would rather spend money on a pointless failure we call the "the war on drugs". Drugs won. 1. if it took a constitutional amendment to prohibit alcohol, then another amendment to make it legal again, how is marijuana prohibition constitutional because of an act of congress?
2. The DEA (aka as the drug enforcement arm of jeff sessions) is imbued with the authority to classify marijuana because of the Controlled Substances Act

so, by all accounts, this little girl appears to be more intelligent about the law than you are.

Clearly many people are capable of deciding on their own. Responsible is another question altogether.

I have said numerous times that this is an issue that I struggle with. Of course the pot heads really really really want to smoke pot and I doubt that they think through longer term implications. I also suspect that they see pot smoking from the lens of their hippy baby boomer days and not through the juiced up versions on the street today. I wouldn't know not being a pot head myself
