It took less than 24 hours for their faces to be shown.

After the San Bernardino shooting on Wednesday, 14 people were killed and at least 17 were injured.

The Westboro Baptist Church has announced that they do indeed plan on picketing the funerals of the victims.

Is the founder of Westboro Baptist Church gay? Former church member questions Fred Phelps' motivations for starting America's most notorious hate group

A former member of America's most notorious hate group has published a book claiming Westboro Baptist Church founder Fred Phelps' crusade against homosexuals may stem from his own gay experience.
Laura Drain was a member of the Topeka, Kan, church until she had a change of heart and was excommunicated.
She's now an advocate for gay right and anti-bullying, going so far as to pose for the NOH8 campaign which promotes equality.

Bad times: A former member of the Westboro Baptist Church, Lauren Drain, right now speaks out as a gay rights advocate
In an interview with the Advocate, Drain notes that her former mentor was a Boy Scout who graduated with honors and was on-track for military service before, at the age of 17, he became a preacher against 'sexual immorality.'
'I never understood why, when [the media asked him], 'Why are you so against the homosexuals? Did you have a homosexual experience? Do you have homosexual tendencies?'' Drain, 27, told the Advocate. 'And he would get so mad, he would shut down. And he’d be like, 'I can’t talk to this person anymore, they’re stupid.'

'His reaction to that was stronger than any other question you can ask him. So I always wondered that — why does he get so mad? If I’m not gay, I’ll just say I’m not gay. And I’m not going to freak out, like, 'Why are you calling me gay?'
'I always thought that was super strange. … I don’t know what happened there, so [speculation] is all that I can leave it at. But something happened, and something made him change his mind about the military, and in turn have kind of a crusade against sexual immorality and homosexuals.'

Hate monger: Drain now wonders if pastor Fred Phelps may have been spurned by a gay experience in his youth
Her book, Banished: Surviving My Years in the Westboro Baptist Church was released on March 5.
Speaking to NOH8, she said no one should be judged based on personal beliefs.
'I am against any and all forms of violence, discrimination, bullying or bigotry directed at someone else due to their personal lifestyle,' she said.
The question of whether Phelps was repressing some of his own sexual urges has long been a point of speculation.
Last month while participating in a Reddit 'Ask Me Anything' one commentator sent Drain the question: 'Do you think Fred Phelps is gay? If not, how do you explain his extreme interest in homosexuality?'

The Westboro baptist church is an embarrassment and a false organization. My hope is that one day it's members truly embrace Christ and His words and not the current skewed doctrine they follow.

Now you know how many Muslims feel about terrorists who claim to represent all Islam.

That the radical fringes of any religion does not represent the whole

Some of your fellow Republicans disagree, Norah.

Personally, I think you are more intelligent than they are, and a better representative of Christianity.

You rock, girl!

I was brought up in Christianity, and I was always taught to look at my own faults rather than those of others. I have always found that deeply sound advice, and I do think American 'Christians' might give it a whirl.
