Leftists are opportunistic if nothing else.
Every crisis is an opportunity to advance their agenda. They were masterful in their use of the China Murder Virus to get rid of Trump. Basically owning the media and Big Tech helps. Actually, Democrats/left would be screwed if they didn’t.
The modus operandi is to establish a narrative *early* and then hammer it home. It’s critical that all media outlets be on the same page with this, so any outlets or sources that fall out of line are ‘fact checked’ by ‘independent’ fact checkers and declared false and/or untrustworthy sources.
Any contradictory facts that arise after the narrative is established are simply not reported and/or ‘fact checked’. And any historical facts that might contradict the narrative or make democrats appear as hypocrites are simply kept in the Memory Hole.
Since so many people take their cues from the self-approved media sources this formula worked like magic in the electorate with COVID.
They put this technique to a particularly insidious and hypocritical use with the 1/6 mostly peaceful protest. Democrats are using the actions of a small segment of Trump supporters [to whatever extent they were supporters. It’s a FACT that it was something less than 100%] to paint the whole of Trump supporters as domestic terrorists.
But don’t dare try this with Muslims, BLM or any of the ‘approved’ groups. Using the actions of a few to label or malign whole groups is a grave sin. Or so we have been by the left since 9/11. Note that they largely get away with this abject hypocrisy by having a near monopoly on information.
At any rate, Democrats and the left are using this incident to censor conservative voices, shadow ban conservatives on social media, ‘disappear’ thousands of their followers, cancel outlets like Parler, deplatform any voices THEY disagree with and/or gets in the way of the agenda.
All based on the lie that Trump supporters are dangerous. The left is leading this country down a very dark road.
