    Default Biden a Irish Nationalist!?

I think he is an Irish Nationalist.

Not that there's anything wrong with that.

But, it's out of character for Democrats.

I think his claim of Irish poets being the best is very subjective.

    Irish have Yeats.

    Germans have Goethe.

    English have Shakespeare.

    Poles have Adam Mickiewicz.

    Russians have Pushkin.

    Welsh have Dylan Thomas.

    French have Victor Hugo.

    Italians have Dante.

    Among various others.

I'm not so certain Irish are the best poets.

    Biden told a Polish joke.

    https://www.intellectualtakeout.org/...s-polish-joke/

I'm not sure how he believes Irish Americans are superior over Polish Americans in intellectual capabilities!?

Polish blooded Americans have produced some good scientists, like Nikodem Poplawski, Wojchiech Siren, Abraham Michelson, Jack Szostak, Alexander Wolczscan, Frank Wilczek, and Bronislaw Malinowski.

Polish blooded Americans have produced some good engineers, Steve Wozniak, Frank Piasecki, Igor Sikorsky Ralph Modjeski, Stephanie Kwolek, Casinos Zegelen, Kazimierz Sendzimir, Miezyslaw G Bekker, Henryk Magnuski and, Josef Hoffman,

Polish blooded Americans have produced some good things to medicine too like Maria Siemenow, Stanley Riddick, Walter Golaski, and Josef Cywinski.

Irish blooded Americans in comparison are more pathetic in intellectual accomplishments.

like Phillip Holland, James Watson.P,and presumably Thomas J Kelly.

Polish Americans by the 1970 s beat Irish Americans by 4 points in IQ.

There are a huge number of American politicians that feel a strong link to Ireland. Ireland has immense soft power for its size.

If it makes you feel better, Poland is also beloved.

It was not a Polish joke, nor was it an insult to Poles. It was a statement that politicians have moved away from going to ethnic clubs. There is some sarcasm in the "really smart people", but beyond that, most descendants of Polish immigrants are no longer going to the Polish American Club. And that is just using one group as an example.

Great grandchildren of Mexican immigrants are less likely to speak Spanish than the average American. Spanish speaking is beginning to peak. Speaking Polish peaked decades ago.

It sure sounds like Biden thinks that the really smart people in America excluded Poles.

It sounds like he stating the obvious, that neighborhood ethnic clubs are being ignored by politicians as they become irrelevant.

If Joe Biden were a true Irish Nationalist, every cabinet member would have red or green hair, and his first executive order would be to pour out everything that is not Guinness Stout!

In 1920, Polish-Americans were an important part of the Democratic base in cities like Chicago, Pittsburgh, New York, etc. Today, many of their descendants do not even consider themselves Polish.

I take it as Polish Americans have drifted away from Democrats.
While, Biden believes the really intelligent people he's going after for votes, rather than Polish Americans.

Once again, the English win the day.
