    What's the difference?

Also, what's the use of a club, when progressive activists and the Democratic Party have acted toward opposite efforts?
You have yet to prove that they oppose self defense and 2nd Amendment.

"Progressivism is a form of illiberalism." That doesn't answer the question.

    Still waiting for proof.

Lots of Dems are gun owners and support gun rights. Some of us are against ARs and anti-personnel weapons in the hands of the people. The people are not all that in control of themselves.

"Expand" gun rights? What does that mean? And you mean restoring felons' 2nd Amendment right?

That's why I specified the people. Technically, the blanket pardon that McAuliffe issued to create new voters should have restored gun rights as an unintended consequence.

Restoring gun rights to some semblance of what they were before the 20th Century, when they were pretty solid, even if the change is hardly noticable, would be to expand.

That being said, I am open to the argument that denying felons their 2nd Amendment rights is unconstitutional.

There is nothing in the Second Amendment about crimes. Felons have the right to defend their families. Tim Allen for example.

I already picked a side in 1975 when I took the oath to support and defend the Constitution. Yes, I'm fully ammoed up. I'm well trained, thanks to those who actually paid taxes unlike you and I stay proficient, in both long range and short range shooting.
I prefer long range overwatch because I can lay down and relax.
God bless America and those who defend our Constitution.
