Werewolf Majority of Americans want Trump removed immediately after U.S. Capitol violence

(Reuters) - Fifty-seven percent of Americans want Republican President Donald Trump to be immediately removed from office after he encouraged a protest this week that escalated into a deadly riot inside the U.S. Capitol, according to a Reuters/Ipsos poll.

Most of them were Democrats, however, with Republicans apparently much more supportive of Trump serving out the final days of his term, which ends on Jan. 20.

The national public opinion survey, conducted Thursday and Friday, also showed that seven out of 10 of those who voted for Trump in November opposed the action of the hardcore supporters who broke into the Capitol while lawmakers were meeting to certify the election victory of Democrat Joe Biden.

Nearly 70% of Americans surveyed also said they disapprove of Trump’s actions in the run-up to Wednesday’s assault. At a rally earlier in the day, Trump had exhorted thousands of his followers to march to the Capitol.

The chaos on Capitol Hill, in which a police officer and four others died, has been widely condemned by both Democrats and Republicans.

Democrats in the House of Representatives plan to introduce misconduct charges on Monday that could lead to a second impeachment of Trump, two sources familiar with the matter said.

“If the President does not leave office imminently and willingly, the Congress will proceed with our action,” House Speaker Nancy Pelosi said in a statement.

"There is no question former President Trump bears moral responsibility. His supporters stormed the Capitol because of the unhinged falsehoods he shouted into the world’s largest megaphone," McConnell wrote. "His behavior during and after the chaos was also unconscionable, from attacking Vice President Mike Pence during the riot to praising the criminals after it ended."

It seems the hope for unity has died.

With only over a week left.

It seems like a futile & spiteful display.

Biden has not even taken the oath yet.

JPP is not representative of the country..

Biden, if he is to succeed @ bringing "more ppl together" he will need to give cause~reasons to do so......

There is plenty of common causes, he needs to capitalize on them.....

The wonderful thing about this election is that our government was designed to prevent a despot, a dictator, a delusional moron from holding on to power against the will of the people. And this election proves it actually works. Our founding fathers were smart.
    Republican Congressman Ken Buck:
“We’re at a time in American politics, that I am not going to lie on behalf of my presidential candidate, on behalf of my party. And I’m very sad that others in my party have taken the position that, as long as we get the White House, it doesn’t really matter what we say,”

That's because most people know that Trump needs a treason tramp stamp equal to the event he created.
The lack of time to ink it should not be a valid defense for treason. We need it for history, no other reason.

Every indignity that can be heaped on Trump should be according to many, the particulars are irrelevant.

Bye Bye America...it was nice to know Ya.

    HELLO EMPIRE!
This illegal illegitimate regime that runs America is at fault...not me.... they do not represent me and I have long objected to their crimes against humanity.

You imply that it isn't true because it was found by an opinion poll. I hope so.

If there is anything in it, it means that a large part of the electorate has been persuaded that political violence is the way to go. If you want to influence Congress, send a mob to attack them - Trump's way.
