Default SI's 1st mock draft after the combine

There may be a new record set this year, if Sports Illustrated's mock draft is accurate.

The current record for 1st round picks from a single school is 5. Ohio State is the most recent school to do it, with Miami and USC having done it as well.

The mock draft at the link below has 6 players from Bama going in the 1st round.

I was looking at the Fox Sports mock draft and they have 6 players from Alabama going in the first round too.

But Fox also has Christian McCaffrey going at #29. I think that is way wrong. McCaffrey is a much better player than Leonard Fournette.

At any rate, Jonathan Allen, OJ Howard, Reuben Foster, Marlon Humphrey, Cam Robinson and Tim Allen all stand a great chance of going in the first round.

The Bengals are projected to take Foster in some mock drafts.

I saw a news story that says he failed a drug test. The dumbass couldn't stop smoking weed long enough to make millions.

If he does play for the Bengals, they will be glad they drafted him. He is tough smart and a hitter. Well....smart as far as defensive football goes.

yeah and his background pails compared to Burfict. The Bengals top needs are OL, WR, LB an Punter. There's no way they take a punter in the first round and the draft is weak in OL and WR in the early rounds. My top picks for the Bengals based on need and best available athlete are Dereck Barnet Tenn, Rueben Foster, Ala, and Leonard Fournette. Barnet would be a steal if available and Foster would be a great fit. Fournet would be a nice BAA if he's available but I'd take Barnet or Foster over Leonard if they're available.

Given a choice between Fournette and McCaffrey, I would take McCaffrey every time. Fournette is too easily stopped. He racked up yards during his college career, but against Bama the last 2 years he had 35 and 32 yards total respectively.

That depends on the team needs. My Bengals have Gio Bernard who is very similar to McCaffrey in all around talent. Fournette is a very good down hill runner and the Bengals need that more than McCaffrey's versatility since they have Gio. I don't think that will happen though. I think the Bengals will go with Barnet or Foster, if a available and take Mixon or OT from Utah Bolles in the second round, if available.

Holy shit. We got John Ross the fastest man in the draft. I didn't think we had a shot at him. With 4.2 speed I thought he'd be a top 5 pick. Holy shit It just got a lot harder to double team AJ Green.

Don't look like Bama is going to break that record WB.

I knew Marlon Humphries would go in the first round, but I never thought he would be the first Bama player picked. Never thought Jonathon Allen and OJ Howard would drop so low. Although, Allen has had some shoulder issues. OJ Howard wasn't used enough to show what he has. He will do well.
