but I think that there's a big difference between racists who don't believe in equal opportunity and equal status under the law

and people like myself who can't identify with Afro-centric things like Hip Hop, the NBA, made up Ebonic kids' names that sound sorta African, and Juneteenth.

As I said, there are several contributors to this forum who might strongly disagree with that,
and they don't seem to recognize who is their real enemy and who isn't and doesn't want to be.

Imprecise. If my calling the police at that time would get the attention of the murderer and I too got killed should I act? Clearly, that doesn't make me the equivalent of racist to not act, even if I later call the police when it's safe to do so.

Same thing. Just because I witness a racist act doesn't mean I should immediately take action if that action is going to cause more harm than good.

You don’t understand it because you don’t know anyone personally

You also don’t know much about certain cultural experiences all over the world


You have to know people and have things conveyed to you on a human level to understand the how’s and why’s to feel an understanding and connection to those social norms

Hip hop is one of my least favorite types of music

No instruments in its roots


Why?

Lack of ability to buy instruments and pay for things like new strings and bows and reeds

The beats are cool at times


The rapping replaces the singing voice


That just lets me down


But for me it’s more by like poetry set to beats


I crave strings, horns, drums

Music makes me alive

Bob Dillion was a horrible guitarist and had a horrible voice

I can’t listen to too much of it



I love other people singing his great poetry
