There is a record of at least 15 Homo species of early proto- humans stretching back over two million years, and that does not include the Australopithecines.
We do not have the genetics relationships all mapped out, and undoubtedly we are missing some of the fossil record. But the evolutionary progression from Australopithecus to anatomically modern hominids is considered compelling by all experts and students of science
It’s impossible to map out the genetic relationships because the genes are long gone.
