Masks and vaccinations work

I'm fully vaccinated and even laminated my vax card in preparation for traveling around the US and maybe even Canada later this year.

Less people are wearing masks where I live including me, but since the COVID pandemic has been so politicized by the previous administration*, common sense has now become "controversial". Since it's important for intelligent people to set the example for our nation's dumbasses, I will start wearing a mask again when away from home. It helps that I picked up several on sale at Walmart for $1. LOL

As the link below notes, vaccines and masks are effective but not perfect. Even 97% effectiveness leaves a 3% window of infection. What the anti-vaxxers, anti-maskers and other dumbasses don't understand is that even they catch COVID and survive, they've deliberately infected put an unknown member of loved ones and friends at risk. IMO, that's as fucking stupid as demanding no one who rides with them in a car should wear a seatbelt.

Laminating it may have been a mistake if a booster is needed, which is probable. I thought about laminating it myself, but then realized they couldn't mark off a third shot if we need it.
