Note: I didn't say angry at her. I said angry about her.

But both questions are valid and answers are welcome for both.

Not for most folks. Again, my opinion only. Put it with a buck 25 and you can buy yourself a 20 Oz Coca Cola. It’s just the lazy card liberals pull when someone is critical of a POC. For 95+% of Ms. Biles critics concerning this decision, race doesn’t even enter the equation.

It's my opinion based on my travels around the internet and on this forum. I've seen too many examples of blacks who get berated or insulted for whatever they do, good or bad. Look at the threads on LeBron James, Colin Kaepernick, Don Lemon, Kevin Durant, Megan Markle etc.

You don't post as regularly as you did back in the day, so maybe you missed a lot of the growing racism on this forum. It was less tolerated years ago but now racists are welcomed with open arms.

I think they dished on her because they stupidly invested their loyalty and hopes on her performance and feel betrayed as though she personally let them down.

Yep. Even the more subtle ones who threw shade at Gwen Berry, while ignoring white athletes who have made a stand against something that they support.

I agree with this 100%. Americans tend to emotionally invest far too much in athletics and athletes. I love how she’s handled this.

Let me say a few things about these names. I dislike Lebron and what he has done to the game and none of it has anything to do with the fact that he’s black. You don’t have Russel Westbrook on your list either but I dislike his spewing of profanities any time he feels like it no matter where he might be. I would/do dislike that about a white guy as well. Colin Kapernick … same. I disagree strongly with Don Lemon’s politics and can’t stand his “everybody’s a victim” approach to many social situations…the fact that he’s black doesn’t make a difference to me. I feel the same way about Chris Cuomo. In fact, I can’t stand him more. Kevin Durant … not many people in Oklahoma like him and believe me they’d feel the same about him whether he was purple, yellow, green or white. Not sure who Megan Markle is … my boy tells me she’s a pretty lady (actress?) who married that English guy. Anyway, I have no frame of reference to form an opinion if her but I’m sure I’d probably disagree with her politics if she’s in the upper crust of society.

But my point of this is so many of us disagree with the politics or actions of those people you listed (and others) but dare not say/type anything negative about them in today’s world because the common retort is that if you do you are a racist scum of the earth. Not everyone who disagrees is though. In fact it is a minority, IMO, this board notwithstanding. You’re right, they’re pretty thick here.

... more leftist gaslighting. simone biles or bails does not matter except for what leftist and leftist media did in celebrating her quitting- leftists cheer and pander for her quitting exalting her as some hero. and also the reason she gave for QUITTING was total bullshit

she spent the entire year 2020 running around giving interviews and telling everyone what to think on nonsense she don't know about. and just virtue signaling doing woke bs. and she even PROCLAIMED TO BE A GOAT - very arrogantly..... and what does ms goat do? she quits on stage!

if any man did even half that bs then they would get lambasted. remember michael jordan or Tom brady? lol. look what the media did to them and they never even did half that bullcrap and quit IN THE MIDDLE OF THE GAME!

Can you guys explain to me?
she took the money then didnt show up for work. clearly someone pointed out she HAD to DO something to keep the cash going so she did one event.

if she didnt feel like competing she should have let some other young lady who did have her spot.

I don't think we're unique in that regard. Remember all the soccer riots that people were trampled in?
