Instead, they are fooled by the nonsense from the unvetted Right Wing Echo Chamber. Somebody picks up an unverified story that sounds good to conspiracy theorists and repeats it, Then the whole RWEC picks up the same unverified story and it just goes around and around without any verification. People believe it because they want to and peer pressure. Doesn't make it real, any more than the 'steal.'

Without fake news the Republican party would be a has-been. The liars know it but they have no other choice. Ego prevents them from finally admitting Democrats are right about most issues. Some people think they are perfect, can never admit it when they make a mistake.

Today's Republican party is mostly just a big mistake.

America stumbled. The bloody nose is the red of today's Republican party.

America is already great. Has been for a long time.

Democrats want to make America greater.

Republicans hold us back. The billionaires love it. Keep both parties bitterly divided. Divide and conquer, laughing all the way to the bank.

We need to pass the American Anti Corruption Act. *

It will happen in time. Bitter partisanship is the big roadblock, but we will overcome that. Might take decades, like the vote for women did, but it will be worth it. Good things are worth waiting for.

After all. What candidate would run on a pro-corruption campaign?

Anti-Corruption is the way to go. That's what everybody really wants. Get the big money out of government.

    * "The American Anti-Corruption Act is model policy that sets a framework for city, state and federal laws to fix our broken political system. It fundamentally reshapes the rules of American politics and restores the people as the most important stakeholders in our political system. An Anti-Corruption Act has three primary goals:

-Stop political bribery so special interests can’t use job offers and donations to influence politicians.
-End secret money so people know who’s buying political power.
-Fix our broken elections so the people, not the political establishment, are the ones in control."
democrats want to control daily lives... Republicans want to have the choice to live their lives the way they want. It is Truly sad that we have gotten to the point were both sides will never agree on anything. It is the fault of both parties, not just one. Lets get back to acting like Americans.

Why has a complex academic legal framework that has been around since the 1980s suddenly become a hot political topic? We don't have to speculate. Right-wing operatives have stated publicly that they plan to use CRT to elect more Republicans.

Steve Bannon, who advised Trump in the White House and now hosts an influential podcast on the right, said putting CRT at the center of the political discussion was the key to Republican success in 2022 and beyond:

I look at this and say, "Hey, this is how we are going to win." I see 50 [House Republican] seats in 2022. Keep this up. I think you’re going to see a lot more emphasis from Trump on [CRT] and [Florida Governor Ron] DeSantis and others. People who are serious in 2024 and beyond are going to focus on it.

Trump, Cruz, Bannon, and many other Republicans say that CRT is an insidious force that is being imposed in schools, corporations, and the government. This is how Cruz describes CRT in his new bill.

By teaching that certain individuals, by virtue of inherent characteristics, are inherently flawed, critical race theory contradicts the basic principle upon which the United States was founded that all men and women are created equal.

This is a false description of CRT. (It is also an inaccurate historical description of the Declaration of Independence, which states "all men are created equal." And it was referring only to white men.)

    https://popular.info/p/1-truth-and-3...about-critical

Question: do you expect the grade level kids to understand the legal stuff?

Anyone with a basic understanding of CRT understands that it is not being taught in K-12 schools. The reason is simple: The concepts underlying CRT are generally beyond the scope of undergraduate education, much less elementary school students. A website set up by CRT critics to document "the negative impact Critical Race Training has on education" does not even cover K-12 curriculum because it's "more difficult to track."

Used to be nice after an election. We could drop all the campaigning, get back to quality life. All the signs came down. Be friends again.

Now, Republicans want 'forever election season.' Nonstop campaigns. Talk about sore losers. They forgot how to enjoy life.

When we unite against the stranglehold of big money over our government it will make America greater. People make big money telling lies about Democrats.

The number one reason people believe things? Not rational consideration. No.

They think their friends and neighbors believe it. Number one reason.

At its yearly annual meeting, conducted virtually over the past few days, the NEA adopted New Business Item 39, which essentially calls for the organization to defend the teaching of critical race theory.*

"It is reasonable and appropriate for curriculum to be informed by academic frameworks for understanding and interpreting the impact of the past on current society, including critical race theory," says the item.

Consistent with its defense of CRT, the NEA will also provide a study "that critiques empire, white supremacy, anti-Blackness, anti-Indigeneity, racism, patriarchy, cisheteropatriarchy, capitalism, ableism, anthropocentrism, and other forms of power and oppression at the intersections of our society." The implication is that these critiques are aspects of critical race theory, which in a weird way makes this an example of the activist left basically accepting the activist right's new working definition of CRT as "all of the various cultural insanities."

When you're done with that bong, would you pass it around?

Funny, I haven't seen any Democrats trying to dictate what women do with their sexual apparatus. I haven't seen Democrats trying to push one particular religion in public schools. I haven't seen Democrats telling gay ppl that they can't get married. I haven't seen Democrats trying to pass laws to restrict voting. I haven't seen Democrats creating stricter laws to forbid the use of cannabis.

You will never be accepted as someone who wants to "get back to acting like Americans" until you rid yourselves of that orange corruption you worship. Until then, you'll be considered Cultists. Real Americans don't do cults.

You're asking a Reichtard to *think*? Oh hahahahahaha!

CRT is just another one of the boogeymen that the RW masters want to use to deflect from the fact that they lost yet another election. It's race-baiting, pure and simple. And if there's one thing that the Reichwing is good at, it's scaring their base about people of color, losing their white privilege, and becoming a minority.
