Anti-Muslim marches held in several US cities
Right-wing marchers have taken to the streets in several cities across the United States for the National March Against Sharia, an anti-Muslim campaign that has been roundly criticised by rights groups and watchdogs.
The Southern Poverty Law Center (SPLC) has described ACT for America as an "extremist" organisation and the largest grassroots anti-Muslim group in the country.
Speaking to Al Jazeera ahead of the marches, Corey Saylor of the Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR) described the marches as "Islamophobic" and part of a phenomenon that leads to the "creation of an environment in which violence [against Muslims] feels permissible".
Alia Salem, a Dallas-based Muslim-American and social justice activist, argued that anti-Muslim xenophobia long predates the presidency of Donald Trump.
"Islamophobia wasn't created by Donald Trump," Salem told Al Jazeera.
"It was empowered to a certain extent. More than anything, the idea of white supremacy within segments of our population have been empowered through his presidency."
Members of the alt-right - a loosely knit movement that includes white supremacists, neo-Nazis and other far-right groups - participated in many of Saturday's marches.
The protests and counterprotests in more than a dozen cities come at a time of increased tensions and frequent physical confrontations between Antifa and far-right activists.

Imagine liberals standing up for Christians.
Oh wait. Has that happened?
cypress literally mocks religious people everyday with threads that contain essentially "lol stupid fucking creationists, lol dumb christians" but then he defends muslims.
I, as a non-hypocrite, am critical of all religion, not just what is political correct to criticize.
Cypress anti-religion posts are just a means to circlejerk, he doesn't actually have convictions, or he wouldn't defend an oppressive, sexist, homophobic, outdated religion like islam.

"There is no question former President Trump bears moral responsibility. His supporters stormed the Capitol because of the unhinged falsehoods he shouted into the world’s largest megaphone," McConnell wrote. "His behavior during and after the chaos was also unconscionable, from attacking Vice President Mike Pence during the riot to praising the criminals after it ended."
Fuck Islam.

they think islam means brown people. that's what it boils down to. they think they are defending minorities, when in fact:
1) islam has 1 billion+ adhereents. They are NOT a minority. They have considerable strength, influence, and are dominant globally. If anything they should be in the oppressor category. (and they oppress so so many)..
2) islam is not a race, there are white muslims, arab muslims, asian muslims, black muslims. It is not racist to criticize islam.
3) islam is not an innate trait or part of someones core being. It is an ideology. A set of ideas. When you discriminate against someone because they are black, you are being bigoted for something that literally doesn't matter. Ideas however, do matter, and they can be changed and argued away. When one criticizes a muslim, it is their fucked up BELIEFS being criticized. Just like when we criticized democrats are republicans, we are talking about the ideas that they believe in. Ideas are not immune. Ideas are not sacred. They are to be challenged, argued, and at times, ridiculed.
Liberals are fucking stupid and kneejerk defend anything based on feelings, not logic. Thus because they ignorantly (and ironically.. racist-ly) assume muslims = brown . . they end up defending a oppressive, sexist, bigoted, outdated, homophobic violent religion.

And Liberals give Islamic terrorists a pass because they view them as social justice warriors.

Private citizens are perfectly able of doing a better job without "apprenticing".
Its about bloody time people woke up to the reality of Sharia, unfortunately it will be a cold day in Hell before people like Cypiss will admit the truth about Wahhabism. When have you ever seen a march by feminists against the extreme misogynism practiced by many Islamic countries, seems to me that feminism along with Islam needs a Reformation.

This article was written when Bush was still President but bugger all has changed indeed in many ways it's worse now. There is a theory, which I semi-subscribe to, that US feminists won't go near the subject because it undermines their case in the US and show just how little they have to complain about compared to women in Islamic countries.
"Quarrel with feminism’s core moral insight, which changed the lives (and minds) of women forever: that women are due the same rights and dignity as men. So, as news of the appalling miseries of women in the Islamic world has piled up, where are the feminists? Where’s the outrage? For a brief moment after September 11, when pictures of those blue alien-creaturely shapes in Afghanistan filled the papers, it seemed as if feminists were going to have their moment. And in fact the Feminist Majority, to its credit, had been publicizing since the mid-90s how Afghan girls were barred from school, how women were stoned for adultery or beaten for showing an ankle or wearing high-heeled shoes, how they were prohibited from leaving the house unless accompanied by a male relative, how they were denied medical help because the only doctors around were male.
But the rest is feminist silence. You haven’t heard a peep from feminists as it has grown clear that the Taliban were exceptional not in their extreme views about women but in their success at embodying those views in law and practice. In the United Arab Emirates, husbands have the right to beat their wives in order to discipline them—“provided that the beating is not so severe as to damage her bones or deform her body,” in the words of the Gulf News. In Saudi Arabia, women cannot vote, drive, or show their faces or talk with male non-relatives in public. (Evidently they can’t talk to men over the airwaves either; when Prince Abdullah went to President Bush’s ranch in Crawford last April, he insisted that no female air-traffic controllers handle his flight.) Yes, Saudi girls can go to school, and many even attend the university; but at the university, women must sit in segregated rooms and watch their professors on closed-circuit televisions. If they have a question, they push a button on their desk, which turns on a light at the professor’s lectern, from which he can answer the female without being in her dangerous presence. And in Saudi Arabia, education can be harmful to female health. Last spring in Mecca, members of the mutaween, the Commission for the Promotion of Virtue, pushed fleeing students back into their burning school because they were not properly covered in abaya. Fifteen girls died.
You didn’t hear much from feminists when in the northern Nigerian province of Katsina a Muslim court sentenced a woman to death by stoning for having a child outside of marriage. The case might not have earned much attention—stonings are common in parts of the Muslim world—except that the young woman, who had been married off at 14 to a husband who ultimately divorced her when she lost her virginal allure, was still nursing a baby at the time of sentencing. During her trial she had no lawyer, although the court did see fit to delay her execution until she weans her infant.
You didn’t hear much from feminists as it emerged that honor killings by relatives, often either ignored or only lightly punished by authorities, are also commonplace in the Muslim world. In September, Reuters reported the story of an Iranian man, “defending my honor, family, and dignity,” who cut off his seven-year-old daughter’s head after suspecting she had been raped by her uncle. The postmortem showed the girl to be a virgin. In another family mix-up, a Yemeni man shot his daughter to death on her wedding night when her husband claimed she was not a virgin. After a medical exam revealed that the husband was mistaken, officials concluded he was simply trying to protect himself from embarrassment about his own impotence. According to the Human Rights Commission of Pakistan, every day two women are slain by male relatives seeking to avenge the family honor."

I hope one of your children dies in a terrorist attack at the hands of a follower of the pedophile mohamud
I guess since you stand with them you will be joining ISIS soon
It is funny whenever there is a shooting, people like you run out to condemn all gun owners
Whenever muslimes kill in the name of alah you run for your hijab to show solidarity. Are you putting your old lady into a hijab?
You don't even realize that you have already submitted to the followers of the pedophile mohamud.
Again I allah willing I hope your children die at the hands of Islamic terrorists
