As for the number of deaths and cases, you might want some FACTS instead of the OPINIONS of a left leaning site like Politfact moron.

The disease then spread across the country's population and by the end of May had infected citizens in all 50 states. The pattern continued through June of the same year. The total number of confirmed cases varied from 27,717 (Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) confirmed and probable cases) and 25,453 (total of all state confirmed cases) as of June 26, 2009.[122]

Towards the middle of June 2009, the number of US cases surpassed those of Mexico, which had been the previous leader in diagnosed cases of the disease. Toward the end of June 2009, the number of deaths related to the virus in the US surpassed those of all other countries as well.

On June 25, the CDC released information revealing that there were more than likely over one million (1,000,000) cases of the disease in the US, most of which had not been reported or diagnosed.[123][124]

No go FUCK off and KILL yourself you worthless piece of human excrement.

Obama’s acting director of health and human services declared H1N1 a public health emergency on April 26, 2009.

That was when only 20 cases of H1N1 — and no deaths — around the country had been confirmed.

Two days later, the administration made an initial funding request for H1N1 to Congress. Eventually $7.65 billion was allocated for a vaccine and other measures.

H1N1 was declared a pandemic by the World Health Organization on June 11, 2009.

It must hurt being this retarded.

The 2009 flu pandemic in the United States was a novel strain of the Influenza A/H1N1 virus, commonly referred to as "swine flu", that began in the spring of 2009. The virus had spread to the US from an outbreak in Mexico.[116]
The U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) estimates that from April 12, 2009 to April 10, 2010, there were 60.8 million cases, 274,000 hospitalizations, and 12,469 deaths (0.02% infection fatality rate/Mortality rate) in the United States due to the virus.[117]

Yes, those are facts, I have no idea how you think it proves your point, but thanks. Let’s re-examine your post in April 2021 a year after COVID 19. I think you will find more than 12,469 deaths.

Deaths are always tragic, every liberal will agree. The difference, the h1n1 didn’t overwhelm our hospitals like COVID 19 is doing. Americans will always die of the flu and other diseases. We just hope our government works for us and doesn’t look the other way.

I do, but if I say anything, you're just going to try to change the subject by starting a flame war like you're doing now. That's why discussing things with Fascists is pointless.

No one went to the hospital? You’re very misinformed. Over 200,000 people were hospitalized. It was no secret, it was in the news.

No, silly, you don’t retain facts, or choose to remain ignorant, it’s sad.

Well, that explains it seeming racist and why it was a bupkus move. The places hit the worst are epicenters for trade and travel from these places. There is a lot of travel back and forth from Americans doing a job. My Mom's friend does just such a job and was all set to have to go to Wuhan himself before some actions were finally taken and they were told to stay away. Just look at the international dealing companies that call the most affected areas home.

Then, the CDC’s flu surveillance network actually sounded the alarm, spotting two children in California who were the first diagnosed cases of the new flu strain. About two weeks later, the U.S. declared a public health emergency and CDC began releasing anti-flu drugs from the national stockpile to help hospitals get ready. Trump declared a state of emergency Friday, seven weeks after the first U.S. case of COVID-19 was announced...

As for thousands dying, it actually turned out that the new H1N1 strain was less deadly than average seasonal flu. But even that comparison is problematic, because regular flu years are deadliest for the elderly while H1N1 was riskiest
    for younger people.

Okay, it’s willfully ignorant, as your choice, so there is no further conversation with you, thanks for the worthless exchange. I’ve learned my lesson. Thanks, Alice.
