Default Bernie thinks Medicare for all will reduce fraud

    https://pjmedia.com/trending/sanders...icare-for-all/

He admits there is fraud in Medicare for some. It only stands to reason that if you expand the rolls it will expand the fraud.

His idea is that removing profit will have this effect.

Um.... it didn't have this effect on Medicare for some as he already admitted.

Why ? The profit motive was not eliminated. Providers are still making a buck and as they know its easier to defraud Medicare due to its minimalist fraud enforcement (relative to commercial insurance), its easy pickins.

Oh, and he wants to cancel all medical debt. Talk about a mother lode for fraud.....

Great points. Some posters will claim the solution to the fraud is hiring more investigators for fraud enforcement. That will only increase the cost and punish the crime afterward rather than stop it. Medicare already has 1 billion claims a year and Medicare for all only increases that amount which is impossible to investigate.

We have always had fraud in medical care. We have had fraud bigly in medical insurance. Scott in Florida was head of a =company that had the biggest fine for Medicare fraud of all time. The people of Florida elected him governor.

Commercial does a good job with it. Medicare/Medicaid never has.

    Hello Celticguy,

If we make Medicare our primary system it is logical to step up verification and enforcement so fraud is as limited as possible.

Obviously it's worth the investment in oversight with so much money at stake.

You know, a billion here, a billion there, pretty soon we're talking about a lot of money.

Bernie the other Putin puppet who conspired against Hillary's campaign in order to serve the will of his un American leaders' will. I am definitely not feeling the Bern but a decrepit old fool who is still rattling around on his anti Democracy mission.

Bernie is correct because the crimes of health insurance companies would be eliminated.

Why should someone go into debt for a health issue they couldn't control? SO a hospital exec can get a bonus?

Fuck you, fuck this country and fuck everyone here still debating this.

The proof is in the pudding. Our system sucks, always has sucked, and always will until we go single payer.

    fuck this shit.

Insignificant. If it were not for the absolute idiocy of religion the right wing would not exist. Let me explain. Religious folks don't care about the current country or planet, they have nothing to live for and everything to die for. Theirs is a life of suffering.

    To them suffering is noble.

Despite the fact we can end this specific suffering with a single payer system.

So, why should we continue to make life as abject and miserable as possible for all people here when we can do the opposite? We can make life better, we can make living here better, but we don't. Why?

Nobody has to go into debt.
You are missing the fact that now you can have your condition treated. Your grand father just got to die.

Healthcare is not free and you are not entitled to a sugardaddy.

I am bemused by the foolish notion that ever bigger Government does not equate to fraud. Are leftists really that naive and stupid?

WRONG; it will become more fraudulent and costly for the American people. Of course, if you like mediocre care, long waiting lines and waiting lists, you would love Socialist run medical care.

WRONG; and calling it an investment is preposterous in its stupidity and ignorance.

Wrong; single payer systems suck. But then, you are a low IQ naive moron who most likely seldom ventures far from home.
