No [zero] positive tests arose out of over a thousand close contacts of asymptomatic cases. Intuitively, one wouldn’t expect a high rate of transmission from asymptomatic cases and this study confirms it.

Zero out of a thousand surprises me though. That’s 0/1000. Not even one or two.

I’m sure someone will come up with a reason why healthy people need to be wearing masks.

What is the payoff for doctors, and politicians to convince people that masks are helpful in stopping Corona if they are not? Why are rightys so disposed to squabbling.? Doctors and epidemiologists tell you to wear masks because they work. The science is there. The tests show it Doctors have worn masks on pandemics and in hospitals for many years. They simply and factually work. A lack of PPE has resulted in many nurses and doctors getting sick and many dying. Their finding, you fucking idiot, was that after a complete lockdown of a few months, the viral load on those 1,000 or so asymptomatic cases was so low that there was no transmission. That has ZERO to do with people who are infected with COVID and are in such early stages that they are asymptomatic, but still shedding.

Good to hear that you’re a proponent of total lockdown to achieve those ends.
