I'm just saying that when you look at people as a whole, they're judging living in liberal cities to be more desirable than living in cheaper areas.

As people age their values change.
When I was young I loved living in N.O. The food, the music scene, availability of promiscuous women was something I couldn't get living in a rural area . I didn't mind the need to carry a handgun in my car for protection. The trade off was worth it.
Now? No way I'd live in a city where I felt the need to carry. Plus I want access to at least one ski mountain and acreage to do my gardening. I actually plan on living in a more expensive area than where I do now once I cash in my chips and retire.
