I know plenty of people still on the waiting list, and Texas is worse off than up here. Texas has consistently lagged severely behind the national average in vaccination, with the urban poor lagging even further behind.

Republicans are making a big deal about California vaccinating people who are already in the USA without regard to their immigration status. The laws are that healthcare can be given to anyone, because it is essential for life. And it just makes sense to vaccinate as many people in the USA as possible to get heard immunity.

But lets talk about Texas for a while. Many rich Mexicans are traveling to Texas to get vaccines. They are allowed by Texas authorities to immediately break quarantine, making them illegal aliens. Then they are allowed by Texas to get Federally paid for vaccines, even though they are not residents of the USA. Texas, with one of the worst vaccination rates for its own poor people, is literally selling vaccines to rich foreigners.

the reality is, the 40 states in the middle (including Texas) only have about a ten percent spread......that isn't a "severe" difference.......

I already posted it. Texas imports wealthy foreigners to sell them vaccines provided by the Federal Government for free. These aliens are illegal, because they violate quarantine laws. Violating the laws of entry makes them illegal.

Texas has a 31.95% double vaccination rate. The highest of the middle 40 states, New Mexico has a 43.97% vaccination. That would be 38% higher. That is more than 10%, that is 38%.

Both have been getting the same vaccines per capita, so the failure is in distribution. That much of a failure is severe.

Your math is off. Lets say one state has 1% vaccination, and another state has 11% vacination. The 11% state has 1000% higher vaccination, not 10%.
