Why does the National Review purposely doom itself to irrelevancy lol?
Trump’s support among Republicans is anywhere from 85-90% and the lefties loathe them. Who will bother reading the NR after this?

National Review is the mainstream conservative voice for a very long time.
William Buckley would have been calling for Trump's removal long before this.

Yes, he would have. Buckley detested the Russians and anyone who cozied up, as has Trump, to them.
He would have detested your writing, Earl.

From an economic perspective you’re right. I’m assuming most of their readers are on the right and this probably alienates most of their readership. But this has been their stance all along. They were #NeverTrump during the primary.
From a principle perspective the magazine being against Trump doesn’t surprise me. And think about Republicans and George W. Bush. You’ll find many Republicans who will speak negatively about Bush today and one reason being the Iraq War. But when he was in office he was popular among Republicans and Republicans supported the Iraq War. Imagine what the response from the right would have been if NR started speaking like liberals did about Bush or the war while he was in office?
And in a decade will Republicans speak about Trump the same way they do today? It’s definitely possible. But it’s also possible it will be different and maybe folks will say NR was right to hold the positions they did and not bow to the popular sentiment of the time.

Well, what sin has Trump committed that future republicans would speak ill of?
An ‘Iraq war’ is out. Unless something changes—pretty quickly, they would have to judge Trump’s first term as a time of relative peace. The economy is solid; we have record employment numbers for minorities; I don’t know how the NR or future republicans can manage to be ‘unhappy’ with Trump’s judicial appointment numbers.
Trump IS unorthodox, flamboyant, mercurial and etc so he will no doubt be remembered for that.
I think they just don’t like him lol.

If the president is a danger to our nation (he is not) why doesn’t Nervous Nancy send the Articles over to the Senate?
No impeachment until she dies.
