That doesn't explain why Conservatives weren't campaigning on the Russia Tax Cut, though.

The GOP lost 40 seats in the House, not 33, by the widest margin in a midterm election ever (10,000,000 votes).

And while great you gained 2 seats in the Senate, you still lost that aggregate vote by 20,000,000.

"I won on a technicality" has got to be the classiest boast ever.

This wasn't hard to understand even then.

Why millions of people are getting hit with a surprise tax bill this year

An effort to make the tax bill look better ended up making it look worse.

Americans who are accustomed to receiving an income tax refund tend to file their taxes early — often in late January or early February when all the paperwork becomes available — but this year many early filers are finding to their surprise that they actually owe money to the IRS.

A tweet rounding up other tweets from displeased early filers went viral because the user, @smarxist, deliberately singled out people who are mad at President Donald Trump for raising their taxes.

So......YOU ARE NOT FOR HIGHER TAXES? What's the problem with socialism at its best?

I think that's the point. Taxes didn't go down as promised.

    Same shit, different polish.

And why are you a Conservative anyway? You don't even know. It's not because their economics or fiscal platform has any merit...you're just in it for the bigotry and hatred, aren't you?
Oh, And why are you a commie anyway? Is it because your refund was less?

Well of course you would think that! You were obviously concentrating on what your party comrades were saying while touching yourself in an impure manner

So we agree that taxes didn't go down for a significant number of middle class workers?

The ones with big fancy mortgages and blue state tax policy, yeah. People in states like mine with reasonable cost of living saw their taxes go down. We never used all our exemptions and settled for the standard deduction. Now we got to keep the tax amount on a doubled standard deduction. Woo hoo! For renters it's awesome. I just bought my house but I have no mortgage so no interest to deduct. And my taxes were a mere $2500 for the year on the house. I'll see another year where my tax liability is about the same. I am just one person do all the work for a business so the numbers are pretty small after expenses. I could easily hide income for which I don't receive a 1099, but I'm honest and I pay my share.
