Default Parlimentarian Green Lights Most of Controversial Senate Bill

Among other changes Democrats have long pushed for Medicare now will be able to negotiate drug prices. This bill is important, helpful legislation. Good in itself and, along with what happened in Kansas, good for Democrats' prospects in November.

*sigh* Price controls YET AGAIN. Democrats STILL haven't learned that price controls DO NOT WORK. They ALWAYS CAUSE SHORTAGES.

Not price controls at all. Merely giving the government the freedom a private party has to dicker with a supplier over the price being charged, including buying from a competing supplier who decides to lower its price in order
to entice the buyer. It's what Republicans supposedly believe is holy. You called it "free enterprise" in the old days.
