Yesterday brought three high-profile Biden defeats in rapid secession as he was going to Capitol Hill for one more pep rally for carving out the filibuster and getting the Senate to pass his preferred election-reform bill.

First, Kyrsten Sinema chose to give a speech declaring that she did not believe in getting rid of the filibuster, a move that reportedly “stunned” the White House. (Go figure, she doesn’t want to make concessions to the kinds of people who chased her into a bathroom.)

Then, the Supreme Court ruled, 6–3, that no, the federal government cannot use OSHA as a backdoor way of requiring citizens to get vaccinated against Covid. (Really wise of White House chief of staff Ron "KK"Klain to retweet a message declaring exactly that secret motivation!)

Then, with little chance of changing the filibuster, Joe Manchin — whom the White House chose to denounce in surprisingly personal terms back on December 19, accusing him of breaking his word — announced that he, too, will not vote to eliminate or alter the filibuster. Senate DEMOCRATS will have, at most, 48 votes to do so.

There is no sign that any of those DEMOCRATS recognized any contradiction or irony in their actions.

    Default Biden is failing politically

Biden hit a political wall this week in his push for voting rights legislation, just as he did last year in trying to pass his Build Back Better spending package.

It’s time for Biden to ask himself why he’s in this morass.

Mitch McConnell (R-Ky.) had it right when he said Wednesday that Biden was elected with a mandate to “bridge a divided country, lower the temperature, dial down the perpetual air of crisis in our politics.”

Biden is failing in that mission.

Biden has been losing his way politically. As he chases support from progressives in his own party, he has failed to craft versions of his social spending package and voting rights legislation that he could pass with fragile majorities. He’s been spinning his wheels.

A prime (but rarely discussed) example of Biden’s loss of momentum is the failure to enact legislation to improve American competitiveness in chip making and other technologies.

This bill, known as the U.S. Innovation and Competition Act (or USICA), passed the Senate back in June with a big majority, 68 to 32. Passage illustrated the strong bipartisan consensus that America must respond to China’s technology challenge.

But USICA stalled in the House. DEMOCRATS there were miffed at what they saw as Senate attempts to dictate science policy. Some progressives didn’t want chip making to get in the way of battles for child-care credits and other Build Back Better programs.

Moderate DEMOCRATS are baffled. “It’s nuts that the House has been sitting on this good, important bill for months,” said Sen. Mark R. Warner (D-Va.), one of its authors.

Successful presidencies carry a sense of political momentum, going from success to success. Sadly, Biden has lost much of that forward drive. It’s time for a restart.

OOPS! I HOPE "DOCTOR" JILL HAS A CHANGE OF DEPENDS ® HANDY

Bungling Biden may be Delaware’s favorite son, but since seizing power he’s aggressively pushed policies that stick it to the tiny state’s largest industries that together generate roughly $10 billion in revenue.

The bungler's handlers have taken aim at the state’s two largest cash cows — corporations and poultry — by proposing raising corporate taxes and blaming chicken processors for high food prices. They've also advocated tightening regulations in the financial and chemical industries, despite Delaware bragging that it is the “capital of the world” for both sectors.

Even his sycophants supporters worry the rhetoric is going to cost jobs in Delaware.

Martin Willis, a DEMOCRAT candidate for the Delaware statehouse and a 2020 DEMOCRAT National Convention delegate for bungling Biden, expressed concern over breaking up the poultry and meat industries.

“The poultry business in the state of Delaware is a big business. It’s a really big business,” he said. “Trucking wise, it employs a lot of people. It brings a lot of revenue into the state of Delaware.”

Delaware’s largest source of revenue is the fees generated from corporations that flock to the impoverished state for its favorable tax laws. Those fees added nearly $1.5 billion to the state coffers in the 2020 fiscal year, accounting for roughly half the little state’s revenue.

“More corporations, incorporated in my state of Delaware than all states combined. And guess what? They ain’t paying enough,” bungling Biden babbled during a visit to a General Motors plant in December.

For now, the left's corporate tax proposals remain stalled in the Senate along with their big-spending agenda.

You kidding, Biden doesn't run again for over two and half years, an eternity in politics, and probability is that in that time Covid will fade and consequently the economy will improve, and who do you think will get credit for it when it happens, certainly not the little jimmy jordan's investigations

If past presidencies are any indication, things won't get much better for Joke between now and then.

Are you laboring under the impression that the DEMOCRATS need to worry about persuading people to vote for them?
