    Default 39 percent

That is Fatso's current approval rating

    Pew Poll
    "Trump’s approval declines to 39%."

Currently, 39% of Americans approve of how Trump is handling his job as president, while 59% disapprove.

He has redefined the GOP for years. They blew it by electing him - there were some good candidates in that field, too.

Still, I look at a poll like this & think...how do even 39% approve of this disaster?

Wrong. I was all about Kasich in that primary. I would have voted for him 1,000 times before voting for Hillary.

And man, was he light years ahead of Trump. When did Republicans stop valuing intelligence & actual experience?

I'm sure the banks are in the 39%. But most Americans do believe in western values.

The three most beloved and popular politicians in the 21st century with the Republican base were George Dumbya Bush, Sarah Palin, and Donald Trump.

The GOP has always put a premium on stupidity

538 has him at 40.4 approve vs. 56.4 disapprove.

I'm still not counting chickens, though.

Well, there are as much as 30% who are deplorable. The other 9% are what is left of the evangelicals who still support him and the greedy super-rich power junkies.

Of the non-deplorable contingent, there are many who hate to admit when they are wrong.

They've been led along this far and they are afraid of 'losing face' if they admit their mistake.

They are aided by the 'means justify the ends' crowd of SCOTUS-packers.

No virtue among any of them.

I remain as determined as ever and shall so until President Biden's inauguration.

This terrible wrong and blot on our history must be concluded for the good of all, and so that social healing can begin.

I think the same thing, especially since he really has great disdain for the troops. I thought maybe the authority figures he’d respect, but he doesn’t even respect the generals.

RCP is at 40.2 and they have not even factored in the Pew 39.

Gallup should be putting out a new one soon as well. They were already at 39 a month ago.

That should factor RCP down even more.

    Correction: RCP is at 41.2.

Yep, I would have too. I would even consider him against Biden. But the gap between Biden and Kasich is a crack in the sidewalk, the difference between Biden and Trump is the Grand Canyon. Old school Republicans still value those things, but Trump has abandoned them.
