A DEMOCRAT from Wisconsin running to replace House Speaker Paul Ryan in Congress was arrested and pleaded guilty to driving while intoxicated in 1998, in addition to eight other arrests, according to documents obtained by CNN.

Two of Randy Bryce's arrests were more recent -- in 2011 and 2018 -- while protesting the policies of Ryan and Wisconsin's GOP Sen. Ron Johnson, but the majority of Bryce's arrests stem from a single incident of driving under the influence, including three times for driving with a suspended license.

A 44-year-old man suspected of sending threatening text messages to strangers was arrested following a confrontation with police who came to his home to investigate.

Several people reported receiving violent texts from an unknown source, causing some to feel unsafe, police said. Police learned someone named “Don” may be responsible, which led them to the home of Donald Steele.

Steele allegedly came out of the house holding a wooden billy club strapped to his right wrist. A homemade weapon authorities described as two saw blades affixed to a long wood handle was also next to him, police said.

Police told Steele multiple times to drop the weapon and that it was illegal for him to possess it, and he eventually put the club by his feet after “a lengthy time,” according to a statement from police. Steele allegedly grabbed the weapon as a sergeant and detective approached him, prompting the detective to quickly tackle him and knock the weapon away, the statement said.

Steele resisted officers until he was placed into handcuffs, according to police. He was arrested and booked on suspicion of possessing an illegal weapon, resisting arrest and annoying phone calls or text messages.

He told officers he didn’t know who he was texting and was reaching out to numbers he “had prior or had located somehow,” police said. Police said Steele “would send out the same random messages to several phone numbers for some type of personal motive.”

Harvey Weinstein made headlines on Friday when an article was published by the Spectator that claimed Weinstein had admitted to offering actresses acting jobs in exchange for sex, but the former movie mogul's lawyer is now denying Weinstein made any admissions.

Earlier Friday, the Spectator reported that the disgraced movie mogul, who pleaded not guilty to rape and criminal sex act charges in June, said his behavior is the norm in Hollywood.

"You were born rich and privileged and you were handsome. I was born poor, ugly, Jewish and had to fight all my life to get somewhere," Weinstein told the Spectator. "You got lotsa girls, no girl looked at me until I made it big in Hollywood."

He then admitted, according to the article: "Yes, I did offer them acting jobs in exchange for sex, but so did and still does everyone. But I never, ever forced myself on a single woman."

Weinstein was accompanied by his lawyer Ben Brafman for the chat. Brafman told TMZ the interview did take place, but the recounting was not accurate.

Free will has never been scientifically proven.

Without scientific proof of free will, guilt and punishment is just some superstitious biblical bullshit.

Punishment is therefor never justified.

Either rehabilitate or humanely euthanize. Without free will proven, punitive detention or execution cannot be justified.
