"That isn't the only thing Coats said he wasn't made aware of until the public was. Asked if knew Mr. Trump would meet with then-Russian Ambassador Sergey Kislyak in the Oval Office in May 2017, Coats, with a long sigh, said that was probably not the best thing to do, and he wasn't made aware of that meeting ahead of time.

And then we all know Coats' reaction in the video when he hears that Trump invited Putin to Washington
So, the National Intelligence Director, who is the head of the US Intelligence Community, who supplies intelligence information to entities as the NSA and Homeland Security, through no fault of his own, has no idea of what is going on.
It is no wonder Putin smiles when he sharing the stage with the Donald
Just making "America great" by the day

WTF should Coats know who's meeting whom? He's DNI- not chief of staff
Well, one would suppose before a President decides he wants to invite a foreign leader inside the White House, especially one with a track record showing animosity toward the United States, that that President would check with the individual responsible for intelligence if it was a practical or at least workable idea
There was a reason Coats acted surprised when he heard the news and it wasn't because he was happy with the idea
