    Nope...just talking about how important it is to teach kids to swim (waterproof-drownproof). I assume you agree?

    When I grew up, we had mandatory gym classes and swimming was part of it. Back then, the boys swam without suits too. That was in Detroit,

    We had the same thing in Toledo,they would bus us from the South Toledo Y to the downtown Y.
    No suits.
    The oldtimers here in Fostoria said it was the same way.

    My kid has swim lessons tomorrow, just by coincidence. He's had them before, they didn't take.

    Our Y does as well. I would think that every parent who lives in an area with lakes or lots of backyard pools would want their children to know how to swim.
