She's saying people are dumb to vote Republican, unions are better for workers etc. Unions like tariffs. Just a decade being for free trade and trade deals was to be against the working man. Well now the working man is getting what their supporters have wanted.

Tired old leftist talking point. Does anyone ever agree 100% with any candidate? There are plenty of people benefiting from the policies Trump has put in place, even libs. The economy is chugging along, federal revenues are up, and unemployment, especially among minority groups is at record lows. And leftist losers are hanging their Che beret on one nail factory. Lol

How are those SCOTUS picks going? Was that voting against our own best interests too?

I don't give a rip about unions one way or the other. Union membership has fallen steadily since 1950.

Fair enough but that's what I was responding to in her comments.

Really ... you're benefiting from the policies Trump has put in place?

The Economy was already chugging along, Trump did nothing to improve it, just impede it.
Federal revenues were already up, and unemployment was cut in half by Obama.
... don't even bother talking about minority groups, this Racist Bigot is propping up the Klan.

SCOTUS? Are you in need of an Abortion? Don't expect it will help if you're already pregnant and you're waiting for a ruling.

During an interview with MSNBC, Mid-Continent Nail operations manager Chris Pratt revealed that he has already laid off 60 workers from his plant — and he warned that more jobs were at risk due to Trump’s trade wars.

“We should be thriving,” he said. “We were doing pretty good. But now, it’s like he flipped the light switch off, and it’s all because of tariffs.”

Jimmie Coffer, a machine operator at the plant, told MSNBC that he voted for Trump in 2016 because he wanted to see “change” in Washington. Now, however, he worries that Trump’s trade wars will cost him his job.

“I understand why he’s doing it,” he said. “It’s hurting us. It’s hurting us real bad here.”
I take no pleasure in anyone losing their job. The one talent Trump has, is being a con man extraordinaire. Who else would take a gig selling frozen steak products?

I am smart and savvy enough to not get duped by Trump's con. But I cannot find fault with barely educated Trump boot-lickers who thought they were voting for somebody who was looking out for the little guy.

Now, that empathy does not translate to those who voted from Trump out of racial resentment and misogyny. I have zero empathy for people getting fired for being racist swine.

For those who claim they support the working guy and that unions support the working guy, Unions support tariffs. This is what Unions want. So if you are against tariffs are you now against the working guy?

This story is ironic in a very sad way, and illustrates the adage of voting against your own best interests. We lived in Missouri for decades before we escaped a couple of years ago. It was a mostly-red state, until the last decade; now it is 98% red. It also used to be a very strong union state. But no more, since the takeover by the (R)s who promised their base that they would make everything all better. They made it better all right, by fighting for years to impose a right-to-work law. With an (R) governor and a super-majority in the house and senate, they finally achieved that goal to fuck over the working ppl who voted them in. It was challenged, however, and now goes up for a popular vote in August. I doubt if these nail factory guys are unionized, given their location. Too bad. I feel sorry for them, but then -- be careful what you wish for, you just might get it.

    Regarding Right-to-Work:
I don't feel an ounce of sympathy for anyone who was thick skulled enough to vote a disaster like Trump.

I hope every dumbass who voted for and supports Trump ends up living in the streets pushing a shopping cart.

Too bad for your talking points that all those things -- other than the SCOTUS appt. -- were on those chugging-along tracks under Obama. And you guys cheated on the SCt appointment, didn't you? GOP motto: The end justifies the means.

What about the Unions that support the tariffs. Do you wish to see them homeless as well?
