Dems have become the John McCain "we are at war" party. Trump has taken hard sanctions against Putin -but still wants to talk peace..

Sure thing, dude. That's why the (D)s picked Clinton over Sanders in 2016. You know Sanders? The one and only actual socialist politician? The one they shoved to the side in favor of the corporatist medium-right Clinton?
I used the word becoming - which denotes something that is yet to fully happen. You used picked - which is past tense. shame on you!

You want us to ignore how close Bernie got to winning? Do we ignore what happened in New York?

Seeing as tho anytime a socialist policy is put to a poll, it is always popular among likely voters, be it Medicare For All, Debt-Free College loans, Social Security expansion, etc, etc, etc.
the shit stain socialists better hope they can stay safe when pushing too far. They are going to have to eventually fight somewhere other then a ballot box.

That's obviously because if Hillary Clinton isn't far left enough for some people, then those people are too far left themselves for mainstream society.

I firmly Bernie Sanders and his supporters are as much to blame for Trump's victory as the Trumptards themselves.

Or maybe Jill Stein's voters. Sanders was not on our state's ballot, although I voted for him in the primary.

Third party and other "alternative candidates", and many of their ideas, sound good on paper, but all they ever do is split the vote and make it harder for the most viable candidate to win.

Too many people want overnight change in this country and that just doesn't reflect reality.

Unfortunately, change comes incrementally in small bites.

Why wouldn't a bunch of entitlement minded freeloaders unwilling to do for themselves support things like that and believe they're actually free. Ask one of those dumbasses who is going to pay for it and it will be like a deer in headlights.

Funny how whenever we talk about increasing defense spending by almost 1 trillion dollars, nobody ever asks how will it be paid for?

Especially when you consider we outspend everyone else on defense spending by orders of magnitude

Now if you tell those people that for the same amount we want to increase defense spending, we can provide debt free loans that results in people not entering the workforce already steeped in debt -- people will be in favor of it like they already have been --- no matter how much you fear monger it.
