You know these guys are probably pretty young, even a 19 year veteran. Most go in pretty close to coming out of college or within a few years. Wonder about this guys age. I think it would be particularly STRESSFUL to be on Trump's SS detail--not to mention, they are working around the clock shifts and have had to go back to congress repeatedly for EXTRA MONEY. A 19 year veteran was likely carrying a heavier load to boot.

A Secret Service agent who accompanied President Trump on his trip to Europe died in a hospital after suffering a stroke in Scotland, the agency announced on Tuesday.
The agent suffered a stroke during Trump's July 15 stay at his Turnberry golf resort.

"It with great sadness and regret to report that the agent, a 19-year Secret Service veteran and dedicated professional of the highest order, passed early this morning on July 17, 2018, in Scotland," the Secret Service said in a press release...

WASHINGTON – "I alone can fix it," Donald Trump famously declared as he accepted the presidential nomination last summer. When it comes to the serious budget crisis now facing the president's Secret Service, that might actually be true.

As USA TODAY first reported Monday, the Secret Service can no longer pay hundreds of agents, who are grappling with protecting a president who spends almost every weekend traveling to properties he owns on the East Coast and the 18-member first family's frequent business trips and vacations. Director Randolph “Tex” Alles said more than 1,000 agents have already hit federally mandated caps on annual salary and overtime allowances meant to last the whole year.

Congress would have to intervene to get these agents paid. But former Secret Service officials and ethics experts say there are some simple ways that Trump himself could ease the financial burden – and personal strain – he and his family are putting on the men and women who protect him. Trump could:

Spend more time at the White House

"That would help solve the problem," said John Magaw, a former Secret Service director who began his career nearly three decades earlier as an agent under Lyndon Johnson in 1967.

I get that but I remembered those stories VIVIDLY from last year about this particular presidential detail. The reason being, MY STATE is/was picking up, fighting for, arguing with, to get a portion of the bills covered for TRUMP. Not the least of which he puts a strain on the Coast Guard each time he comes 'to town' as well as PALM BEACH resources. I can imagine those 'stresses' easily trickling down to the rank and file agents.

(But all will go QUIET till NOV. RICK SCOTT will find every opportunity to sidle his skinny bald ass up to Trump. Mark my words, by SEPT 1, I think old Donnie's gonna be visiting Florida more--even BEFORE the official "season" starts in Palm Beach).

I had a stroke at 47 which kept me down about six weeks and about a yr. to fully recover. Still do Masters swimming regularly, usually run one 5k race a month and do a couple of triathlon sprints each summer. Shit happens.
