Default Trump/Putin declare Cold War finished.

Putin: Cold War over and US-Russia must work together

Trump-Putin summit brings end to frosty US-Russia relations

Two leaders praise 'very fruitful' round of closed-door talks held in the Finnish capital Helsinki.

President Vladimir Putin and his US counterpart Donald Trump have committed to improving relations between the US and Russia, with Putin saying there was no longer any reason for tensions between the superpowers.

And this is why Trump and Putin should be awarded the Nobel Peace Prize --- no one but Trump and Putin could ever end the cold war -- these men will go down as the greatest leaders of our generation

"There are no objective reasons for difficulties [between Russia and the US]. The Cold War is a thing of the past, the situation in the world has drastically changed," said Putin.

Earlier, Trump blamed his own country's past "foolishness and stupidity" for the two powers' hostile relations.
still the cold war cannot end by a meeting. There is no reason for it

Cold War was over when Reagan demanded the wall come down.

But that won't stop the tweeting baby from taking credit.

Gorbachev considered the USSR too expensive to maintain. He contracted it.

It's the USA that is now up to its fool neck with unimaginable trillions of dollars of debt.
    Clever Gorby.

Gorby isn't too clever if every since the collapse of the USSR -- Russia has been trying everything it can to re-acquire as many of the countries that once made up the USSR as possible.

    No- it hasn't.
Russia- for example- could have over-run Georgia when Georgia attacked South Ossetia with a view to calling in NATO back-up.
Russia could have over-run Ukraine when the indigenous population rebelled against Western subversion.
    Neither happened.
    Just two examples.

The British efforts to promote Russophobia have hit the buffers by way of Trump red-lighting further aggression. You'll be glad if that pans out- as will anybody sane.

How do you have room for both Putin and Trump's dick for one throat? impressive

Funny how you are a sycophant for Russia when it comes to defending your master Trump -- but then switch over to portraying Russia as being some sinister entity when it comes to Obama talking on a hot mic and saying shit that pales in comparison to what Trump is saying now.

As much as you praise Putin, maybe you should read Putin in his own words Vladimir Putin said publicly "…that the worst thing, the worst thing let me underline that, that happened in the 20th century, i.e., worse than two World Wars, worse than the Holocaust, worse than the Great Depression—the worst thing was the fall of the Soviet Union."

The reason Putin doesn't just overrun Georgia, Ukraine or any other country is because Russia (1/10th of the US economy) -- can't afford to overrun them -- especially when those countries have NATO behind them -- the same NATO that both Putin and Trump continues to attack

So for Putin, in order to re-establish Russia as an empire -- in the face of being heavily sanctioned and having a piss poor economy -- is to do it covertly, indirectly --- to fund nationalist movements across the world to help elect governments who will aid you in that pursuit to re-establish that empire -- especially when some of those nationalist movements admire the leader of that empire like Trump definitely does.
