Libs a clueless. They don't understand business at all.

Trump made a business decision when looking for funding for his real estate ventures. He felt he was getting a better deal from Russian investors than US banks. He's a businessman, he's supposed to take the best deal.

BS anchorman Jeff Glor had asked the president who he thought was the nation’s “biggest competitor” or “biggest foe.” Trump named the E.U. first.

“I think the European Union is a foe,” Trump said. “What they do to us in trade. Now you wouldn’t think of the European Union, but they’re a foe.”

Trump added others to his list, but in milder terms.

“Russia is a foe in certain respects,” he said. “China is a foe economically certainly... but that doesn’t mean they’re bad… They’re competitors. They want to do well and we want to do well.”

After Glor noted that the E.U. was at the top of his list, Trump replied: “I look at them all. Look, EU is very difficult, I want to tell you. Maybe the thing that’s most difficult ― don’t forget both my parents were born in EU sectors, OK? I mean my mother was Scotland, my father was Germany. And, you know, I love those countries. I respect the leaders of those countries. But in a trade sense, they’ve really taken advantage of us.”
looks good. the only thing I disagree on is China really is a long term adversary -much more then Russia

I agree with you that an American president should never, ever, under any circumstances draw a moral equivalency between our long-time allies, and the Kremlin. Until 18 months ago, I never would have even imagined an American president would do that.

Trump is literally too stupid to know anything substantive about the EU, and everything he thinks he knows he probably heard from Sean Hannity. So basically, Trump cannot be trusted to have good judgment, or even a rudimentary understanding of economic and political relations between the EU and the United States.

I think characterizing Russian interference in our election as an attack risks sounding hyperbolic. We certainly need to implement counter measures and exact proportional retribution for their meddling in our democratic processes. I am still keenly interested as to the reasons why the Kremlin was so keen on having Trump elected.

I agree with Trump that Russia and China are not all bad. Putin, as a leader, is pretty similar to Trump - anti-democratic, authoritarian, arrogant, and (unlike Trump) smart and clever. However, while they are geopolitical competitors, both the nations of Russia and China have important roles to play in maintaining world stability, international diplomacy, collaboration on global environmental threats, preventing terrorism, and non-proliferation of nukes. With few exceptions, the world is not made up of people in white hats and people in black hats.

Russia hacked the DNC. Only the DNC thinks they were attacked.
