I was watching John Huntsman on Chris Wallace. Huntsman is a lifelong diplomat and a really smart guy.
He was saying while we can agree on Russian hackings- we can't continue to base the entire relationship on that.
There are too many pressing problems we could cooperate on or look to improve ( NK ,Ukraine, Syria )
he even mentioned the old idea of triangulation Nixon used on Russia with ping pong diplomacy.
I thought it was a good perspective..we can keep the sanctions on until we see less meddling -
but we can't just keep looking backward.
I find it odd no one ever mentions Chinese hacking and trade abuses..but that's another story
You are wrong again. Trumps bankruptcies turned off American bankers and they refused to back him anymore. He wasn't getting a better deal, but the only deal. That made him in Russian banking debt financially and ethically. Russia has a huge power over Trump and it shows.
Trump has been voicing Russian international political lines since he got the money. No the EU and NATo are not our foes. But Russia is.
I don't disagree with the idea that an ally can also be a foe in a particular area however I generally think the EU is an excellent trade partner. Of course I'm a free trader and support our previous multi-national trade agreements which puts me against the American working class, or so I'm told, but our trade with the EU has economically benefitted our country.
