I say there is certainly plenty of hatred going around on both sides.

But it would be foolish to think that everyone on the left hates the right, or that everyone on the right hates the left.

The problem with stereotypes is that they break down.

Stereotypes are overly simplistic; but the world is complex.

So stereotypes don't really serve us very well.

If you are a human, I love you.

I love being a human on this planet and part of the human collective here.

It's OK that humans are going to disagree on what we should do as a group.

Does some of the left hate the right? Absolutely!

Do some of these people hate each other simply because they think the other side hates them?

Well if that's true, then all it would take would be some simple little misunderstanding, and hatred could grow on both sides.

And then you get somebody shrewd and diabolical, who sees this as an opportunity.

You can get a lot of attention by telling people the things they fear the most are looming, and they should hate the Demons who are cooking it up. Then, of course, they demonize the other side. Now, here's the diabolical part. You can get rich by doing that. You get a lot of attention, and you can sell a lot of ads; and that's worth BIG MONEY.

Just ask any of the talking heads on conservative talk radio. And a few on MSNBC. And some on Fox.

We will never be Venezuela and the left doesn't want that. We want a well regulated capitalist/socialist blended economy with a strong government of the people by the people and for the people so that we put people first. As a matter of fact, that would be a great 2020 campaign slogan: 'People First.'

Don't you see that the super-rich are playing us off one another and laughing all the way to the bank?

How else do you explain the ever widening wealth inequality gap?

Just how much wealth do you think the powerful should extract from the 99.9%?

And the 'full employment' you spoke of?

Guess how many hours per week a worker has to work to be counted as 'employed.'

ONE.

Any part time job where a worker works just one hour per week is counted as employed towards your 'full employment' claim. Man, you'd have to be as well-paid as a CEO of a major corporation to live on just one hour of pay per week. And I don't think all those part time people are working as CEOs.

This 'full employment' you speak of is a cruel joke. The proportion of part time jobs has tripled over the last 50 years while the US population has only gone up by one third. That means more people are working lousy jobs. The worse capitalism makes it for the middle class, the more people are going to want socialism. Capitalists are stabbing themselves in the back by turning their backs on labor.

When capitalism screws labor, then capitalism is screwing it's own consumer base.

That's why unregulated capitalism always eats itself.

Capitalism can no longer exist in the USA without socialist wealth redistribution to support it's consumer base.

We gotta have both.
