Not yet, but perhaps we will reach "modern civilization" at some point if we last.

The only temporary upper hand america has is it's willingness to engage in endless bogus wars of aggression until it's ultimate demise.

Fresh supply of ocean front property will be good for the economy.

Present day ocean front property has become too expensive for the poor. We need a new supply of it.

Huh, as I own a small island without an extradition treaty with the US. I’ve noticed a rising tide diminishes the amount of land above the sea. Call me crazy.

If they were so "extremely advanced", why didn't they see this in advance??

True, but rising sea levels will wipe out expensive ocean front properties owned by the wealthy creating new ocean front properties and opportunities for the poor with the added bonus that it wipes out some of the elites' wealth. Isn't redistribution of wealth what you desire?

So what is you point? That it could happen again without the help of Exxon? That because it will happen again we should add to it? Do you have a point?
Oh there's a point alright but you're too boneheaded to get it.

Spell it out then, loser. It’s either exactly the fallacy I stated or a close variant.

I have posted this many times but boneheads like you are seemingly incapable of understanding!

MIT professor of atmospheric physics Richard Lindzen's opening statement to House of Commons committee in 2012.

Stated briefly, I will simply try to clarify what the debate over climate change is really about. It most certainly is not about whether climate is changing: it always is. It is not about whether CO2 is increasing: it clearly is. It is not about whether the increase in CO2, by itself, will lead to some warming: it should. The debate is simply over the matter of how much warming the increase in CO2 can lead to, and the connection of such warming to the innumerable claimed catastrophes. The evidence is that the increase in CO2 will lead to very little warming, and that the connection of this minimal warming (or even significant warming) to the purported catastrophes is also minimal. The arguments on which the catastrophic claims are made are extremely weak – and commonly acknowledged as such. They are sometimes overtly dishonest.
