How can this be happening? Didn't trump say all those coal jobs would be coming back and the people would get so tired of winning, instead they are dying of Opioids, driven by despair

There are parts of this country that I feel MORE concern and frankly sympathy for than others. I'm in an area that can HOLD IT'S OWN. Could be better. For sure. But we have a pretty VARIED economy with some depth and breadth of industry, still a fair amount of military presence aiding the economy and a reasonably educated (could be better) workforce. Still too much reliance on service sector jobs as far as I am concerned but it is Florida and we are still a GROWTH state.
I don't think WV shares that depth of skill sets, industry, and certainly not outlook. I remember coal people being interviewed in the last election when TRUMP LIED THROUGH HIS ASS TO THEM and I heard them with my own ears say that GOD had provided them jobs and living from the earth for a century and he would again.
I knew these people were SCREWED.
